Bonvillian Service Center

We called Bonvillain for a belt replacement on our Asko dryer. While the demeanor was professional, the work was not. - we never received a quote or estimate before the work was performed - the dryer vent plate was not reinstalled - the dryer exhaust hose was not reconnected even though this was explicitly noted in our invoice I usually don't write these reviews but this was a $400 belt replacement on a dryer. Would I have received that estimate beforehand I would have declined. After several calls, I spoke with the owner. I aired my grievances and he agreed to "return my check" and politely asked that I find my services elsewhere next time. We've received a $150 refund for the $400 of unfinished services. Do yourself a favor, and don't get mixed up with these folks.

They did an excellent job. They were very attentive, returned calls, and were willing to work with us to get the work done. They were professional all the way from scheduling, to returning calls, to the people that came out to do the work.

The repair man that came to repair my Thermador cooktop was prompt and professional. I explained the problem and he listened, interested in hearing what I had to say. He told me hed had not seen this problem, and had never seen a problem on a brand new Thermador cooktop, so he called Thermador's professional service line to see what they might know about any recent problems. They had no advice for him. After double checking that the installation wasn't the problem, the repair man took the cooktop apart and proceeded to check every valve and fitting. He found several loose or only hand tight fittings and tightened them all. There was no indication of where the gas smell was coming from, so he checked and tightened everything. We thought the smell was gone. He put everything back together and left the area clean, ready to use. We did not smell any gas smell, but he assured me he would come back if the problem continued. (Note that the cooktop was under warranty, so I wasn't paying anything.) He mentioned that I should call Thermador as well, if the problem continued, to make sure they had a record of problems with this new cooktop.
The problem did continue. Thermador wanted me to contact the other of the 2 repair companies for the second repair trip, so I was not able to work with the great folks at Bonvillian again. It took 3 additional trips, beyond the Bonvillian trip to fix my cooktop - definitely not Bonvillian's fault. I'll call Bonvillian again if I have other appliance problems. They are receptive, professional, and do quality work.
