Bayou Concrete

On May 16, 2019 my wife and I signed a contract with Derek Ancalade of Big Easy Landscaping and provided a deposit for a project to extend our driveway while adding other features to our front yard. Per the contract, work was to begin May 22, 2019 which did not happen. The reason we received from Derek was that is dog became ill. From this point till now it has been almost impossible to reach Derek or his business partner Todd Anderson as neither of them return phone calls and seldom respond to text messages. After exercising extreme patience from hearing of excuses about his dog, weather delays, material shortages; we have concluded that our deposit of $3,890.94 was taken with no intention of fulfilling his contractual obligations. As of today, June 28, 2019 work still has not begun nor have we received our deposit. DO NOT use this company!!! They are frauds and will still your money. We have referred them to the BBB and State’s Attorney.

It was horrible. They never resolved the issue and I'm not happy. Angie's List put them in a "penalty box", but that didn't do anything for me. They don't obviously care, and as a result the job is not been done properly. Nothing has been done according to my satisfaction and according to y'all nothing will be, so I'm not worried about it. On price, obviously not good, if I pay money for someone to do something, I expect it to be done perfectly. I'd give them F's all the way. My next step is to go to the Better Business Bureau, and I'm going to file a suit against them. I'm not happy with Angie's List to tell you the truth. My recourse is only that y'all put them in the penalty box, and I don't think they give a da**. The only reason I heard of Bayou Concrete was because I looked it up on Angie's List; so I'm not real happy with Angie's List. The problem is they don't put you on the stand. They don't care. I went to this company, I had never heard of them before, for one specific reason. The service was bad, now the only recourse is y'all put them in the penalty box and it's just a waste of time. I will probably not use Angie's List again to be honest with you, because I can't trust it. What good is it, if I had a friend recommend me to something like a restaurant and they were bad, I don't think I would take advice from my friend anymore would I? This is the only experience I've had with them. Most of the job was good, but a part of it was not, where it was falling apart. They promised they would come back. The guy actually came back the day before Easter, and said Oh I'll be back. He's never been back and Easter was in April.
