Backyard Living Pools

Horrific. This was the worst experience of our lives relating to being a homeowner. We saved for years for our dream back yard and he screwed us. He still came to collect money even though we had already paid just $10,000 shy of the total budgeted price. He did not know which client paid him what or where he was financially on each job. He just came to hit clients up for money. The last time we saw him he came to collect $40,000. We only owed $12K left on our job. He had not finished ANYTHING. We refused to pay. He started yelling, "I NEED MONEY" like a drug addict in trouble. We refused and showed him all of the projects that were not only not complete but sub optimally done. We invited him to get off of our property.

The pool construction took longer than promised.  Follow up was terrible.   We called, emailed, sent texts, etc for days with no results.
The pool was excavated down too deep, causing rainwater to overflow the pool from 3 adjacent neighbors lawns.  We paid for a land surveyor to prove this.  The depths of the pool were not correct according to our contract;  The deepest area was to be 5 feet, yet measured only 4 ft 4 inches upon completion. The shallowest area was to be 3 ft 6 inches, and was also too shallow, causing you to scrape your toes when swimming on that end of the pool.  The interior finish was to be beige with tiny brown pebbles.  The actual interior of my pool is now gray. 
We wound up having to get an attorney to file suit against this company.
Now, after the fact, we are hearing from other dissatisfied pool owners about this company.
We hope others check Angies List in advance of spending their family savings that resulted in such disappointment.
