It was fairly painless. It took a few weeks of lead time to get in touch with the insurer and adjust the claim. It also took a few weeks to get the shingles in. They did not call in advance to schedule as requested but the roof was installed in one day. So far so good.
Description of Work: Worked directly with insurance company to negotiate a higher settlement and replaced hurricane-damaged roof with 3-d architectural shingles. The shingles were approx 29 SQ. I was slightly put off because I called for an estimate and got a sales pitch. We did not receive an estimate but decided we had nothing to lose. Haggling with the insurer was inevitable and we didn't mind letting someone else handle it. Mark requested a re-working of the entire claim and received little resistance from our insurer, who I'm pretty sure was already aware that they had given us a low balled claim.
