I called in the morning and the office manager said he would arrive just before or after lunch. He did not show until 3:30 pm because of delay at other calls. By then I was stuck at work and could not leave. However, my son was able to meet him. He replaced the cut wire and a fuse which took only about 30 minutes. The unit was back in service within an hour.
I had used Wood's in the past and knew he did good work. However, I was shocked to see a charge for $30 on my bill for and quot;Trip Chargeand quot;. I called and was told it was the cost to drive to my home which is 5.8 miles from their office. AC work is not something that I can bring to a dealer for repair or mail to them. I have never seen a charge like this on any other service company bill.

Owner, Cliff, is very nice and professional.

The last several times I have used his services, I found his fees to be higher than expected.

His services were excellent, his response time excellent, but I can no longer afford to continue to use his services. He has finally priced himself out of having me as a customer after nearly 20 years.

Our original AC downstairs unit started acting up and we did everything we could to get it to last a little bit longer (over 6 months) but when it finally started leaking water all over the floor we knew it was time to replace it (of course just as it was starting to get hot). I had used Woods AC in the past (5 to 6 year before) and gave them a call. Cliff the owner came out the next day exactly when he said he would and spent about an hour looking at the system. He told us that it really needed to be replaced but he could get it to stop leaking but at some point it would probably start leaking again. We asked him how much it would cost, he gave a couple options and we settled on a price. He said that he would order the system and should be be able to install it the next day. As promised they came out the next day at 1 pm and by 5pm the system was up and running. A week later we even got a call from Cliff asking if everything was ok. We were very happy the job they did and would not hesitate to call them again!
