It took them several weeks to get to the job, but they kept me informed along the way.  I believe they subcontracted the job; the trucks of the workers who arrived said some other company's name.  I was a little miffed that they didn't tell me this in advance, but the workers removed and replaced the old roof quickly and quietly (amazingly so).  We have had one very hard rain since the repair and NO leaks!  Overall, the experience was very positive and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I was not confident in the estimate I was given. I felt as though the quote they gave me was not final. They were not great with their follow through.

Called them for their advertised 'free estimate' because of a wet spot in our bedroom. We were concerned there was a slab crack. Owner came out and was very, very nice. He determined that the water was coming from a leaking pipe in our wall. Which was a great relief. He stated that they would send us an estimate later that day or first thing the next morning. I ended up having to call to get it late the next day. What we received was one lump amount for fixing the pipe and the wall hole. Requested a break down and it showed an amount for the estimate and there was no mention of tacking the carpet back down. We decided to just go with getting the pipe fixed and deal with the rest ourselves but went with someone else since we were not comfortable with them trying to charge for something that was supposed to be free.

In reponse to the company's response posted below: There were three different parts of this broken down estimate. The first charge on this account was attached to the first day that he came out. The first day he came out was the estimate- the free estimate- like they have said they provide. The broken down list , it was going to charge $175 for this free estimate day. I did not know there was going to be any work done, and this should have been free, as they have mentioned. We decided not to move forward with this company. They have also not pursued us for any of these costs.

It took awhile to get all estimates together, especially for the removal of the pool, however once we received the estimates we were satisfied with them.  Then it did take a more than a week for them to start work.  It was planned for a specific day but then they had to change the start date a couple of times.  Once the work was begun everything went smoothly and all of the workers were very professional and helpful and were very easy to work with.  It was a joy to have them around and the 2 gentlemen who were here for the entire project were very pleasant and I miss them now that they are finished.  I would definitely hire them again.

My insurance paid for it. They were great. They got here when they said they would and did everything. I would use them again.

They were very nice and professional. I would use him in the future if I needed him to repair anything else. He said when it came to roofing, he was short short on roofing. But he said any other job, he was able to have the work done.

I truly believe that most of the reviews here are overrated. Based on these wonderful evaluations, I contacted them to get a quote for an exterior paint job. It took them 2 weeks to finally get something together. On top of that, it wasn't them who gave me the quote, but I had to call back numerous times to squeeze the quote out of them. They were not punctual, not responsive nor were did they appear even interested to help out. Really disappointing.

Not a good experience at all!

SES is great to deal with - all contractors and office personel are very professional and polite. I never had a request that was impossible to handle. All employees made me feel like their most important customer and were very involved with how I thought the job was going and my feelings upon its completion. Although I sing their praises, I still often get multiple quotes for a job and there have been times where SES has admitted that they think another company is giving me a steal. They are very honest about their prices and if they think you should go with another contractor, they'll tell you and they won't try to push anything. I find this very respectable as not a lot of companies will do this. I've already recommended SES to a friend and I will continue to do so.

We love everything! The workers were friendly and punctual, even coming across the lake to the Northshore. Shawn and Penny were easy to get in touch with when necessary. We were impressed with the accuracy of the estimate in regard to time and cost. The painters especially were AMAZING! They did the best paint job we have ever seen and we are confident it will hold up very well based upon their very thorough prep and detail work.

I had a very good experience with this company.  Penny, Perry, and Shawn were all very helpful, professional, and easy to work with.  All the workers were professional and did quality work.  I was very pleased with the results of their workmanship.  The estimate was right on target and was exactly what I paid upon completion of the work.  Workers showed up on time and kept me informed of their progress and any issues that arose.  My new porch looks great.  I would use this company again (and will) for any future projects.

SES scheduled a contractor to come to the property to review the work within a few days of my initial phone contact and supplied their work and cost estimate a few days afteward. The cost of the project was a fair estimate for labor and materials. No deposit was required before the work began. The job was scheduled within a few weeks of signing the agreement and completed in a timely and professional manner. The company proactively communicated with me before and during the project with updates. The workers worked 10-12 hours per day to complete the project on time. The craftsmanship and quality of the work was outstanding. The finished product looks great.

Work looks amazing!. Had a minor issue, but problem was handled immediately and was totally pleased with the professionalism and courtesy from all involved.  Great people...Will use again!

It was a huge job that took place over 5-6 months.  One of the reasons I picked them is because they can do so much of the work.  In addition to a whole bunch of talented employees, they have good working relationships with others - tile guys, electricians, plumbers, etc., and they get those people out as needed.  When there is so much to do, there are occasional miscommunications but if I didn't like something, they fixed it without complaining or threatening to charge more.  Frequently, the owner was more picky about how things should look and the quality of the work than I would have been and he would just order changes without me having to say anything. 

The only disappointment I have is with my windows.  They're nice windows, but they aren't as big as the ones they replaced even though the company estimator measured the existing windows.  The problem was with the company from which they got the windows, but I paid a lot of money for them and did not get what I thought I was paying for. 

And if there's a downside, it's that they are so good they are in high demand.  So my work stopped a couple of times for about a week so they could go do something else.

Overall, everyone is really nice and they work really hard.  All the guys who work for this company take pride in their work and they are respectful of everyone they come in contact with.  All of my neighbors can't get over how great my house looks.  Perfect strangers who walk by go on and on about all of the details and the perfection of the work.  My next door neighbor hired them to do his house and when I'm ready to do the inside of my house, I hope to hire them again.

This had been a big problem since we bought our home.  SES came in and took care of this very effectively.  I was extremely pleased with the work performed and it has corrected the drainage problem from our evaporator A/C.

The job went very well overall and I have been very pleased with the final outcome.  It was within the estimate given.

SES came out to review the job and provided a very quick turnaround for the estimate.  It was a fair price and once scheduled, the owner, foreman, and crew showed up on time.  Once we reviewed the job, the crew was straight to work and worked until dark to get the job finished.  The crew cleaned up as if they were never there.  Highly recommended and we will definitely use them again. From their office staff to the top administrators, they are all professional, friendly and do an awesome job. Having major work done on your home can be stressful but the staff at SES made me comfortable and provided quality workmanship.  Thank you Angies's list and the SES crew!

I called, he came and fixed the problem.

Extremely productive effort.  The weather did not cooperate with the deck sealing - so the rain delayed finishing but they worked when they could and the deck looks refreshed. Extra kuddos since they had to move various deck chairs and tables off and came back after sealant was dry to put the furniture back.

Exceeded my expectations.

We did not use this company mainly because their quotes were significantly higher. Also, they solicited for positive reviews on Angie's list in exchange for a 5% discount. They were late for the initial appointment because they thought it was one hour later than the time we agreed upon. Still they were 45 minutes late according to what they thought the appointment time was.

I work out of town quite a bit.  When I returned home from out of town, I had a letter from my homeowner's insurance provider indicating that I needed some minor work done on my home.  The repairs weren't unreasonable, but the timeframe was.  My provider gave me a week, during Mardi Gras, to make these repairs.  I called SES and Shawn was out that afternoon to perform an estimate.  He and his workers were at my home the next day at 7am to begin the work.  These gentlemen do incredible work and were available in a pinch.  I highly recommend SES to anyone needing general contracting work.

We decided to hire SES for the work we were seeking based on their estimate which was very competitive.  Perry, who came to do the estimate, was prompt and thorough and it was clear he knew the business very well. It took a little time to get on the schedule, but our deadline for having the work complete was March 1st, so it was not a problem (and they have since completed the work well in advance of our deadline).  The crews who came to the house were prompt and hardworking.  We had a few communication issues that came up when transitioning from the construction work to the painters and about exactly what painting was to be completed, but once notified, SES got a crew back to our house ASAP to finish the work.  We are very happy with the results and plan to use SES for work we will complete later this year.
