Owner does all the work. Very professional. He diagnosed the problem over the phone. It was my first positive interaction with an appliance repair person in a very long time.I will keep his phone number.

found 1st priority on angies list due to its high ratings
called and left a voice mail
Neil called back with in 10 minutes and set up a time to come and assess the problem.
he charged $69 for the initial visit and diagnosis.
the problem was a bad door lock
neil adjusted the lock and explained how the system worked. he ran it through a few cycles to test the adjusted lock and the machine worked fine. he explained that the lock mechanism might still be broken so i should do as many loads of laundry as i needed to test it out. his work comes with a 1 month warranty for the initial visit charge if it was something as simple as an adjustment.
well after a few loads of laundry the lock proved to be faulty and had to be replaced.
i called 1st priority and we set up an appointment for the next morning for between 9-11 am.
neil called 20 minutes in advance of arrival and he had the part with him. the $69 charge also goes against any labor cost associated with the repair. the part was $76 and was repaired within 20 minutes. his work comes with a 3 month guarantee which is always good to know.
Neil is very neat, courteous and punctual. he repairs all major household appliances.

I was extremely pleased with his professionalism, competence, and punctuality. He came to my house on a Saturday morning, the day I had a party planned and truly needed the use of that refrigerator. He got the refrigerator working quickly and did not overcharge me for having to come out on a Saturday.

Our refridgerator stopped working very late on a Saturday night. By Sunday morning there was water all over the floor from the freezer contents melting. I called 1st Priority after getting the voicemails of several other companies. The man that answered was actually on his cell phone shopping but said he would come over as soon as he finished. He asked me to describe the problem and diagnosed it over the phone and gave me an estimate on the part and said he could have it fixed on Monday. About 20 minutes after we hung up he called back and said that his employee that works on compressors (ours had broken) usually doesn't work on Sunday's but that he'd be happy to stop by and take a look at it and if that was in fact the problem he'd be able to fix it right away! Sure enough, within 45 minutes the compressor man came and within an hour or so he had the whole thing working like new. The man was friendly, efficiant, and very patient with our young daughter who was very curious about what he was doing laying on the kitchen floor. The total cost was what we had been quoted for the part so we were happy with that!
