For several months we have been trying to get roofers to assist us in fixing the sheet metal roof. One of the providers on Angie's list finally did come and wanted $300-$400 just to replace two screws that we thought needed changing due to a leak.  He also said he wouldn't come back if that didn't fix the leak unless he was paid more. (Our view was that the price was way out of line for the job.)
We FINALLY found a local sheet metal provider in Hammond LA who gave us Ernest's name, saying he was the only person he would recommend, and Ernest was 'fantastic'.
We immediately called Ernest, and he came out, as agreed, two days later with an estimate to coat the roof. The estimate was between $250-$300.  We told him we would pay $300.  We shook hands on the deal, and I was impressed with his integrity.
We agreed on his coming on Wednesday, and he arrived and completed a quality job on that day.  He cleaned the roof. He checked for loose screws and leaks, and he finished coating the roof with a heavy coat in less than a day.  He was efficient and  safe.- He had a heavy, climbers rope tied on both sides of the building, should he need it.
He has 4 decades of experience as a sheet metal roofer, and he puts on new metal roofs; replaces old metal roofs; cleans and repairs metal roofs; coats metal roofs; and he will work on any gauge metal roof. Ernest has gone as far as Grand Isle and over much of Louisiana and Mississippi on jobs, and he will do a quality job SAFELY. He also didn't come back to request 'more' money, as other contracted workers have done for us.

Ernest only works on sheet metal roofs.
