 + 0 moreThe work was never begun but the experience was terrible after the down payment was made. The owner was often absent from the place of business and would not return phone calls. It was a near-stalking experience just to find the man to see what was going on with the job he was hired to do. The work was never performed, he wouldn't return the down payment and he was charged with home improvement fraud.
Description of Work: Hampton Cabinets was contracted to build cabinets for a master closet and to build a cabinet-grade insert to place into a window sized opening in a wall. The owner provided written estimates and was provided with $1,400 to begin the projects. The owner could not or would not perform the work and would not or could not refund the money. Hampton Cabinets owner was charged under LA law with home improvement fraud.

 + -1 moreNot well as we are now trying to get our money back! Oh and the good news....he was in the newspaper for business fraud!!!
Description of Work: Met with John. He came out to our house took measurements and took our deposit. He told us the job would take 2 weeks to complete. 4 months later we still do not have our cabinets! He gave us every excuse in the book. He even told us his equipment was broken, so we paid him to finish our cabinets. He is yet to even start our cabinets!!! We have had enough waiting and of his excuses. Oh and he is very easy to reach and so nice UNTIL you give him any money. Then you will never reach him on his phone (cell or office). Very untrustworthy and extremely bad businessman!!!!!

Description of Work: first of all i would like to start off by describing this business as "RUDE" and i would not trust a word anyone said their. john the owner/ manger . we set up several dates when they could come install the cabinets every day i would be waiting for them to show up and i would call and they would not answer the shop or his cell phone, they had me wait for 2 of the days for 5 hours to tell me they were not going to be able to do it that day and different excuses every time.
