The metal front porch railings were unscrewed and the whole railing removed (Ben had designed it this way knowing that one day in the future we would need to do this for some kind of repair or fridge removal!) A scissor lift devise was rented to take down and out the old unit and lift up the new unit. Then the railings were rescrewed into place. All of this was accomplished in about 90 minutes, with the help of a four person team. Our hardwood floors were not scratched, no nicks or dings to house or furniture! Only a newly installed and leveled fridge sitting in the place of the old one told us that anything had been done :) As always, Ben Laws was a pleasure to deal with....punctual, upbeat, helpful, and a real professional! My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Ben Laws if you are considering building or renovating a home. You can be assured that he will do a fabulous job AND he will be there in the future if/when you need him.
