PETE'S AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING

Terrible experience: I called this provider and clearly indicated that the outside fan of my A/C stopped working after making a very loud noise. The provider was near my house so he arrived about 2 hours after my call. After almost one hour of work, they gave my wife a bill indicating that they changed the capacitor and also charged our 2 A/C units with freon. The freon was nearly $200 and was applied without asking first. The A/C units are the very old ones that use extremely expensive freon and I had them completely charged 2 months before this provider come to fix the fan problem. I seriously doubt BOTH of my units needed any freon considering they had been serviced recently, and even if freon was needed, the right thing to do was to ask first instead of performing services that were not requested. My wife was alone at home so she wrote them a check. When I found out exactly what this provider had done, I called to complaint and was treated in the most unprofessional way. The only reason I didn't give this provider an F is because the A/C problem was fixed, so I have to give them credit for that; however, I will never use their services again.
