He talked me into cleaning the unit and charged me an extra $85.00. It did not fix the problem, and I never heard from him or the company again.

"On Friday, October 25, 2013, Perkins A/C & Heating , LLC. received a claim from Home Warranty of America for Mr. [member name removed] Claim # 782626. Based on the information Mr. [member name removed] gave Home Warranty, he had a technician from another company (unknown) to diagnose his compressor to be bad. Mr. [member name removed] stated that he turned the unit on in May 2013 and the unit has been working all summer with no problem. When Perkins A/C went out to Mr. [member name removed] @ [member address removed] in October 2013, we troubleshot the system and found that the compressor was not starting. Perkins A/C installed a hard kit with dual capacitor to advance the starting system and advised the owner that his condenser unit was extremely dirty and needed to be cleaned immediately so that the unit would run efficiently. Home Warranty approved the repairs to the compressor and Mr. [member name removed] gave approval for chemical cleaning/pressure check. Unit has been running ever since and Home Warranty do not have a negative complaint from Mr. [member name removed] regarding this claim. Home Warranty even complimented my work for being done in a timely fashion."

Mr. Perkins determined the heater was no longer serviceable and needed to be replaced. Arrived at set time and worked hard to complete the job of removing old heater and installing the new one. After already working all day, came to my house at noon and worked until 10pm.

Mr. Perkins called me within an hour or so of me filing a claim with my home warranty company. He said he could fit me in that day in the evening. After diagnosing the issue and determining there was going to be an additional fee due to the difficulty of reaching the heater, he informed me what the Home warranty would and would not cover so I could determine if I wanted to move forward. Within 20 minutes of leaving my house, he had already called the home warranty company to fill them in. The home warranty company called me to confirm I wanted to proceed with the replacement of the heater motor and that I would pay the convenience fee and I agreed. It was already 6pm by this point but Mr Perkins and the home warranty company were taking care of business.
Mr. Perkins called to arrange a time to come and do the work as soon as he received the parts. He completed the work without any issues and now the heater is purring like a kitten.
