My mother's brand new heater wouldn't turn on the week of March 10th. She placed a call to Keefe's and a technician by the name of Nigil G. serviced her unit. Thankfully it was only a fuse. However, a week later the unit went out again. She called to have them come out, but they wanted to charge her again. So we hired another company. Apparently the fuse that was replaced by Nigil was installed INCORRECTLY! So $157. 10 went down the drain! Now after leaving a message for a supervisor or manager no one is calling back.

Keefe’s Sucks: How do I take the day off of work, sit here ALL day waiting... then, get a call at 5:20pm to tell me that no one is coming. I am flying out to Houston in the morning and can not reschedule. This is the biggest ******** that I have ever seen. If you would have let me know earlier, I could have called a different company out. Expect for me to troll every social media site and review site to explain why NO ONE SHOULD EVER USE KEEFES AC SERVICE. Keefe’s does not value their customers and they do NOT deserve your business. Keefe’s should spend less money on billboards and more money on providing quality service in a timely manner. ZERO STARS. LAST PLACE.

I had several ac companies come out to give me quotes to change out my home ac system. I got much lower prices on the same manufacturer units that Keefe's had quoted me on from the other companies. I also received quotes on other manufacturer's ac system units. I had been a customer of Keefe's for many years and I called them to see if they could lower the price of changing out my home ac system because I had received other lower price quotes. Their answer to my question of asking them if they could lower the quoted ac system change out price was NO. I had looked up the cost for the quoted manufacturer's ac units on the internet also (much lower). Keefe's gave me the very highest quoted price of all of the ac companies that came out and quoted me a price to change out my home ac system.

Salesman was good. Not honest, but good at sales. Convinced me that the significantly higher cost of Keefe's was worth it compared to other vendors due to professionalism. Guy in charge of installation came and checked things out, told my wife it would be completed within a normal day's work. Next day, installers arrived an hour and a half after I got the call that they were on their way. After beginning, they took a 2+ hour lunch. After about 630-7pm, I asked how much longer they'd be. Was told maybe an hour. 9pm-ish, I asked again how long they would be. Was told they might not finish. Called office and complained. At 11:00pm, they were using loud power tools and still working. About 11:45pm, they left without cleaning up a sizeable mess of sheetrock and fiberglass in my hallway, front room, and front lawn. Had to apologize to neighbors and clean up the mess that blew onto their lawns. Spoke to a female who identified herself as an owner the next morning. She was very apologetic and convinced me this was not normal. She promised me a 2 year service contract instead of the standard one year that they give to new customers and a free "Nest" thermostat. They sent another team that week who undid much of the first team's job, fixing what was a poorly done mess. Second team did act professional and competent. I did have one minor problem in the year: My condensation drain clogged, probably with algae. While it did cost me $150 to have him blow it out with compressed air and run some cleaner through it (even with the service contract), he did come quickly on a Sunday. The maintenance guys who came by to check things out were very friendly and professional. I mentioned a minor leak where the heater vent was installed, protruding through the roof, he went up and made sure it was sealed properly. Just received a call that I let my service contract expire (It's only been one year). So they clearly lied about that one. I wish I could rate the maintenance/repair techs separately from the rest of Keefe's operation, because those guys were consistently good. I also appreciate the Nest thermostat. Otherwise, from sales guy to management, I feel like they are not professional or trustworthy. Whether management is incompetent or simply dishonest regarding my supposed 2 year service contract I don't know nor care at this point. They have caused me a lot of stress and I am not an easily stressed or angered guy. My advice is go with one of the other guys. Even if they aren't better, at least they are less expensive and offer interest free financing. I'm going to be paying this puppy off for a longer time because I was naive enough to believe a salesman. Facepalm. Ultimately: Service Techs- great Price- high relative to competition Management- either dishonest or incompetent Overall experience? Would not recommend.

Keefe's did a full installation for us on our 100+ year old Irish Channel house. Our sales rep spent a ton of time discussing options with us to find a good system within our budget. We expected Keefe's to be pricier than competitors because they are bigger, but they were not at all. In all likelihood they were competitively priced, but took the time to find the *right* solution, which ultimately got us to the right price. The installation crew (Mike & Brad) did great work, and were extremely flexible and friendly. They asked for our input at every turn, and handled set-backs with grace and patience. It was HOT and DIRTY in our attic, and they took that in stride as well. Keefe's extended warranty / maintenance plan also sounds like a good way to go, essentially extending their labor warranty for as long as you are willing to continue their maintenance plan -- which you likely need anyway.

Just one person came out. It wasn't that long, not over an hour. I was not convinced that they did the right thing. They had to come out twice. They did followup, that's about all I can say.

They were great to me. They normally call me because I would forget. They'd say there was a guy in the area and ask if I'd be home and they'd come out. They will  notify me when it's time for an inspection and we would set up a date. They are always on time unless they notify me. I have been with them for so long. Once I came back from Katrina, in 2007 or 2008, I had a guy to come out and asked how I would like to have a contract. I said sure, so I've been with them every since.

I researched AC companies on Angie's List and put in a service order online on a Sunday to highly-rated Keefe's. I like that they're a local family owned business. I received a call from Keefe's around 9:30 AM the next morning (Monday) and was told a service technician would be at our house by noon, and Thai arrived as scheduled. He put on paper booties so he wouldn't mess up the floors (I told him no need to do this, but he said it's how they do things). Thai figured out that the freon was low and gave me the option of looking for a leak or topping off the freon. I chose to top off because the system was installed in '96 and if we have continued problems, it may make more sense to replace than repair. The majority of the cost was the R22 freon, which was $311 for the amount I needed (from previous work on our AC units, I know that freon is super expensive now). I couldn't be more pleased with Keefe's responsiveness and technician Thai--he was incredibly polite and explained everything. I also like that both the scheduler and service tech both told me what a service call costs upfront, and  love that they're paperless and do everything on a tablet. I had a receipt emailed to me by the time the service tech left the driveway!

I've been told on more than one occasion that the system needs replacing so there is no need to repair due to cost. It is 3 years later and 1 part that would have cost $300 to replace has caused my wall and floor tiles to be ruined. The system still works, except for that part. Also, one Sunday when I called for service I was told that it would cost $800 for him to come out. I mentioned I had a maintenance contract and he said that made no difference. Of course Monday their office called and said that was incorrect and I would have been refunded the money.
