This place held onto my car for almost 3 months. Every 2 weeks there was another problem that costed more money and labor and needed more parts on order. In the end, they told me that all the work that was done was futile - I needed a full engine replacement...for even more money. They refused to minimize any of my labor costs, even after misdiagnosing and wasting 3 months of my time. They charged me full price for everything still. Now I'm out over $3,300, and my car's engine is in pieces.

Shockingly awesome. The cost was much more reasonable than I anticipated which was a nice surprise. They were also honest with me about an engine issue. They could have told me that there was a major problem and charged me hundreds of dollars but they did not. They were also extremely nice and even gave out chocolate candy when I checked out. I am going to hold on to my older car for longer than planned since I now feel confident that I have a reliable mechanic in case I have another problem.

Very good experience!!!! Not only did I have a coolant leak, I also had a oil leak that was caught just in time. At first it was disturbing to get the call with bad news of an oil leak but they wanted to show us the leak and go over a full plan to fix it. Although they are reluctant to give "bad news" over the phone, I completely understand why they want to show you the problem. Seeing it helped us understand better what actually needed to be fixed. They took the time to go over all that needed to be done and even fixed a few things without additional charge. I would definately go back.

It took them four days and they attempted to charge a lot more than the estimate. It turned out that there was a pack of seals and they overcharged us for it. The ignition coils had to be replaced and they put a used ignition coil instead of putting a new one. The reverse lights were not working right and they fixed it for a huge cost. They did not refund the diagnosis deposit money. The car needed a little oil and it was not done properly. After eight hours of bringing the car home it died. I have called the Better Business Bureau on this matter. I would never go back to them again.

"July 1, 2012 Dear Sir or Madam: This is a claim that was resolved with the Merchant Services and Capital One, the customer’s bank, on February 23, 2012, in our favor. Enclosed you will find copies of all the documents relating to the reversed chargeback case. Before and during the attempted chargeback, we extended a welcome to the customer numerous times to bring the vehicle back so that we may look over the work done. We wished to resolve the matter to our mutual satisfaction. The customer refused to work with us at that time and simply demanded a refunded without giving us the opportunity to verify any of their claims. We would like to again extend this welcome to Ms. Oehler and Mr. Martin to bring the vehicle so that we may inspect any and all complaints that they have. We would like to resolve this issue to both our satisfaction, but they must be willing to work with us. Excellent. My 2002 Mercedes was running hot and I called for an appointment. I appreciated their honesty that they had quite a few cars and scheduled my appointment for a time when they could honestly look at my car. However, Tom's son, one of the mechanics, looked at my car the same day to make certain the issue was not critical. Tom and his son explained the issues to me in layman's terms. After the work was performed and I received my car, I was called a few days later by Amanda, who was checking on the work performed. Although I had another issue, German quickly resolved my concerns. I give this company the highest praise. German Auto's staff is awesome. They are extremely knowledgable, friendly, professional, and reasonable. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this company. I will admit, it may take a few days to get your car to the shop (they are busy and care about their work!) but trust me they are worth the wait.

Really great... I can't tell you how dejected I was after being jerked around by the Audi dealership. Mr. Tom & German Auto Repair made a very bad situation tolerable, and were the motivating factor behind my just having bought a VW, knowing that I can take it to them and receive quality service.
