GAUTREAUX'S LAWN & GARDEN

I had brought the blower to them 2 months earlier for same problem. It cranked better and blew a bit harder but was not satisfied and the performance quickly went downhill again. When I brought it the second time I told them it was doing the same thing and they said they'd check it out. I had planned to pick it up and actually start it before I left the shop but was unable to do so and just had my wife pick it up. I got home and had no problem crankiing it but it still ran almost as bad as before I brought it in. I called and spoke with Shane Gautreaux and told him the history. He said it probably needed a new carburetor which would cost about $60. When I asked him why he didn't tell me that instead of just adjusting the old one he offered to put in a new carb for the $60 with no additional labor. I told him that I'd then have $160 in an old blower when I could have bought a new one for the same amount if they'd simple told me that in August. I asked that, given the $109 I'd already spent with him, he go ahead and put the new carb in with no charge. He said "that ain't happening". I told him I was finished with him and that I had not been able to find a review for his shop on Angie's list but that I would be furnishing the first one...to which he replied "Tell Angie I said Hi". Well....Hello Angie. One other note. When I brought it in and asked the guy behind the counter if they could fix it he said "We can work on it...." and smiled. I thought he was being funny. Turns out he was just being honest I guess.
