Atlas Moving Company

We did not use Atlas. Quote was rescinded by mover. The Story: Received quote from owner of local (Connecticut) affiliate, Admiral Moving and Storage. Quote was contingent on actual weight to be determined by truck scale weighing on date of move. I was good with that but also asked for an estimated price range so I could compare movers and budget our moving expense, We also weighed most of the items (boxes, chairs, lamps, etc.) to see if the quoted weight was reasonably close. The mover's quote was about 25% higher which caused me to ask for a price range. The mover said he was insulted that I questioned his weight and backed out. I supplied the mover with a detailed list, describing each item and weight. I thought I was making things easier. I guess my search for a little more transparency by the mover was not a big hit. We did not press the issue feeling that his attitude was probably going to be a obstacal if we tried to proceed further. We hired another national mover that was ecstatic that we provided a detailed list and kindly provided us with the budget range we were looking for.

We were very pleased with Atlas. They were good crew and good service. I would recommend them to others.

They did really well. It wasn't that everything went without any problems but they dealt with them in a good way. I would very likely use them again.
