I specifically and clearly told the dispatcher that I needed someone to do laundry. Another cleaning services that I hired after new flooring was installed and wood dust was throughout the entire house was able to do the job in under 2 hours with 2 cleaners, and even did and folded a load of laundry. They were great, and I unfortunately lost that other service's number, otherwise I would have used them again.
NOLA Maids' owner/dispatcher assured me that 2 cleaners could immediately start the laundry upon arriving, clean 2 dens, a kitchen, a bedroom, and 2 bathrooms within 2 hours. I told her I didn't want to pay for 3, and asked if that many rooms plus laundry including folding could be done efficiently and effectively and she said yes.
On the morning of the clean, I asked the dispatcher/owner to give me a 20 minutes heads up so that I could leave my job on time to meet the cleaners. I didn't hear from her, so I left and made it home at the agreed-upon time. The cleaners came TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATE. AND, I received absolutely NO communications from the dispatcher/owner telling me when the cleaners would arrive. It was extraordinarily frustrating to have lost that much time at work for nothing.
When the cleaners began, I showed them the laundry that the dispatcher/owner assured me would be done, and asked the cleaner to also change the cat's litter. The cleaners looked confused, and texted their boss, who told them not to do laundry (despite her earlier assurances that they would do our laundry) and not to do the litter. The rest of the clean progressed a bit slowly- I had to ask one cleaner to vacuum up the dust and pet hair instead of continually sweeping up after herself. The other cleaner started cleaning a bedroom that I specifically asked her not to clean (in order to save money).
They finished the job in 2.5 hours, although with a bit more efficiency (moving faster, not backtracking over previously-swept/vacuumed areas, and not cleaning rooms I asked not be cleaned) it could have and should have been done under 2. Especially because they didn't fold any laundry. Despite taking 2.5 hours, the cleaners charged for 3 hours and gave me a sob story of how their boss would make them kick up money for 3 hours because any time above 2 hours = 3 hours in her eyes. So I gave them the full amount because I believed them that their boss would do such a thing given her lack of communicating with me, and because the cleaners were nice were nice.
Promises were not kept, expectations were not met. I really wonder about this company's reliability given my experiences, and will not use them again in the future or recommend them to others.
