Do NOT use this man! He is a LIAR and a THIEF. He took a deposit of over $1000 from my elderly mother for work that did not need to be done and was about 3 times the going rate. He did not get the proper clearances from all the utilities and kept pushing for the work to be done without that approval. We finally told him that we did not want/need the work and requested a refund of the deposit. At that point, he had done nothing other than request utility markings. After much back and forth, he finally agreed to refund a portion of the deposit (we have that in writing). Then came the excuses. . . he had to pay his taxes (don't we all?), someone wrote him a bad check. It was only when we threatened to sue him that he said he was sending a money order for the refund amount he agreed to. Naturally we have not seen this even though it was supposed to have been put in the mailbox at the post office more than a week ago (we are talking a distance of less than 15 miles so even a carrier pigeon would have gotten it here by now.) Shame, shame, SHAME on Jay Bennett for lying, stealing, and scamming the elderly!
