Capital City Maintenance

They came out to check the AC because it was leaking water in the ceiling and also the refrigerator due to it freezing up. They told me to unplug the refrigerator for 13 hours and we lost about 200 dollars worth of food. The drain line to the freezer was blocked and they finally fixed it. Then they looked at the air exchanger up in the attic. They stated that we needed to get a new part for it so they ordered it and called me to install it. When they came out they took the old one out and put the new in, however, when he put the new one in place he was not aware of his footing and caused a crack in the drywall. They then stated that it was my fault that he fell through the ceiling because he stated the flooring was loose. No one mentioned to me that the floor up there in the attic was loose and they went up there twice before the incident had happened.

I've had problems with several other AC/Heating companies that Old Republic had assigned for service calls in past years, so I was wary regarding their sending yet another unknown company coming to my home to fix the heating/blower problem.  However, Jeff with Capital City Maintenance came out as scheduled and both found and fixed the problem within a 1/2 hour.  He was professional and very nice answering questions I had about my AC/Heating system.  So much so that when he explained their company offers annual contract for routine cleaning & maintenance at an affordable cost - I signed up.  Jeff showed up on the scheduled date and time for my first routine maintenance and performed the service quickly and again was very friendly and professional. 

Plumber arrived on site and was shown an issue with water damage on hardwood floor in center of house caused due to a water leak of some sort.  Plumber then accessed the front of the master bath hottub and filled the tub then ran the jets and checked for leaks.  He then declared he needed to cut an access to view the back of the tub to ensure there were no leaks coming from the jets of the tub.

After he cut a hole in the drywall and checked the back of the tub, he stated that it may be a slab leak and that he would refer us to a slab specialist.

The ticket was then closed out as complete with Old Republic and MULTIPLE calls to Capital City were left unanswered.  We still do not have resolution to the original issue.

Not only was the responder dishonest with us, the business never returned our call. 



A complaint is being filled with the BBB as well.

Capital City Maintenance was very quick. Two guys came out and one was the President of the company, he just seemed really professional and really nice. I asked them about other things in the house that I had been thinking about and they were very helpful. They gave a quick estimate of how much stuff might cost and even throwing out other solutions that might be minimal cost that I can do myself. It was a really quick visit.
