The Door Doctor

My experience is that I would never use this gentleman ever. I got him on-line. It should have been a red flag to me that he had an email address and telephone number, but no real address. Subsequent to using him I talked to several other people about what he proposed to do for me and they said it wasn't even possible. He was supposed to refinish my door. He left it in terrible shape. It was not a refinishing job. It was totally inadequate. It was a snow job. He told me he could do something he could not do. It is impossible to do what he said he could do in one day. And that is all the longer he spends on the job. I joined Angie's List specifically to give feedback on this guy. I would never, never, ever use this guy. He gives you a good price but ultimately he can't do what he promised to do in the time frame he gives you. After talking to people after the situation to try and solve what he did, I now know it takes several days because of taking the doors down, putting up substitute doors and taking them to a work shop. I would never recommend this guy to anyone, ever. The price sounds great, if he could do what he says he could do. But he can't do what he promises. The point is, he sucks you in on the price and you end up with a totally inadequate, unprofessional job. The day he left I paid him half of what we contracted for with the promise he would come back Monday to try and solve the problem he created. He never came back. He was out here in the nano-second. He gets the work anywhere he can get it, and get the money and run. The guy is a charletan!
