It was nice that One Hour A/C & Heating cleaned my blower. The service was good. I thought it was nice that they send the same personnel because he knew what was going on and could just pick up where he left off. He was very professional.

Prior experience with this company have been acceptable.  The quote for this work was done after routine service and they recommended this replacement / upgrade.  They came a second time to the house to quote the work and went in the attic again to view duct work.  The arrived on time to start the job the next week and found the unit would not fit the the attic entrance and had to cut the sheet rock to get the unit through the opening. Their advertising states other AC companies will quote a lower price only to find additional costs when performing the job.  They did exactly what they claim their competition does and asked me to pay for the sheetrock repair.  Later the technician agreed to have someone come out and fix the sheetrock but after a month later, they could not find anyone to repair.  When it was apparent that they were not going to send someone I found someone who would come out the next day.  When I told them that I would send them the bill they now claim they did not agree to pay for the repairs.  I am looking to add a garage with rooms above and do not plan on quoting them for this work.  They knew exactly what this job entailed and should have quoted the sheetrock repair up front.

This was the second time we had to have our air-conditioner changed in the attic.  So far we have not had any of the troubles that we have had in the past with other companies.  I felt that I had gotten a good deal and the worker was very efficient and friendly.  I would highly recommend this company.  I was very satisfied.

My Air conditioner stopped cooling well. I called One Hour. They used to be a family owned Haber services whom I had used previously without complaint. One Hour secretary was very polite. She scheduled a technician to come out the next day. He was courteous he checked out my central air conditioner/heat pump system. I was told that my system was in really bad shape and unservicable. (This was a few months after I had them out for a 'cleaning' and was told that everything was getting old but fine. ) I was then told I needed to replace the entire system. The quoted price was $10,000.00 (ten thousand dollars !!) but that would come with a multi-year warrenty and was really worth the money. He was working hard trying to get me to go ahead with the sale. I declined. I called another A/C repair company who came out the next day. He diagnosed the problem as a failing cooling fan. He got one to fit and installed it for $175.00 including labor. My system is still running fine. I should add that my system is a straight forward 4 ton system. I have since been pricing these systems, and 'normal' down here for a name brand system that I need range from $3500 to almost $6,000. This is stil $4,000 more than the quote I was given for my 'unservicable' unit. I will not use One Hour ever again.

I'm an electronics tech and troubleshot the unit myself and found that the ignitor was burnt out. Would've fixed it myself but I would have had to order the part on the internet and that would have taken awhile. Called the company and told the dispatch lady to make sure the technician showed up with a replacement ignitor. He didn't. I had the cover off the unit and showed him the problem - he looked at it for 15 minutes and said "Yep...it's the ignitor". Ignitor is $45 part and requires no more than 5 minutes to install. Technician quoted me a price of $344 for the ignitor (installed) and an $89 diagnostic fee. Outrageous - I called the company and manager lowered the cost to $315 for all the work. Still pornographically high but what can you do? It's cold.
