From the estimate to job completion everything was professional and on time. LHS left my house as clean as they found it. I’ve already noticed a drop in humidity and my Air conditioners are cycling off more often. I placed a thermometer in my attic and there’s close to a 40 degree difference between before and after the spray foam insulation. Job well done.

I was at work when they came. When I got home, I looked at it and everything was satisfactory. I have a raised house and the floor got freezing during the winter. Not only did it seal the gaps, it insulated it from the air outside. I've been under there recently and noticed that the foam is separating from under the house. I will call and see if they guarantee their work or if that's something that just happens over time. It was right in the middle of the road as far as price goes. Everything was fantastic. If they guarantee their work, it would be even better.

Even though I told him that I was a renter and my landlord would not be interested in any sort of major upgrade the contractor's only suggestion was that I do $2000+ of insulation work.
To me that was a ridiculous suggestion for someone who didn't even own the place.
He was polite and punctual, but I guess couldn't be bothered with someone who might be able to spend only a few hundred dollars at most. I would have appreciated some ideas about some diy things that I could have done myself as I would have been the one paying for any improvements. So, it turned out to be a complete waste of money.

We are very pleased with the work done by Darren and his crew. The crew was pleasant to work with and handled the task with professionalism. The insulation has reduced our electric bill and made our home more comfortable.  The attic, which used to be very hot, is now comfortable and we can safely use it to store our holiday decorations and other home goods without them being ruined by heat.  Even our cable TV repairman likes to work up there because it's cool!

Darren came out as soon as I called for an estimate, felt like he was honest told me where I needed insulation and where I was good. Sent me the estimate, decided to do it, called me and told me he was pretty busy but would work me in ASAP. Sent an email a few days later with an opening, showed up right on time, completed everything in about 4-5 hours, then Darren came by personally and checked the job afterwards. I could tell an immediate difference when I got home on the inside temperature. One of the few things in a home that will eventually pay for itself.

It went well. They put insulation in my attic which is about 1100 square feet. It took them about 2 hours to do the job. Both men were very friendly. I would use them again.

I got less than 50 square feet for $99. The coupon said a "minimum" of 1,000 s.f. of insulation had to be purchased. I had only 500 s.f. of space in my attic. The contractor gave me $99 worth of work and material recognizing my confusion with the coupon.

GREAT!  Guys were punctual, professional, friendly and very easy to work with.  They showed up when they said and wrapped earlier than they'd anticipated.

It was fine. They did a good job and they were reasonable.

These people provided an excellent service.  I am so pleased.  I went
with the less expensive bid which sometimes is not always the best idea. 
In this case, I am really glad I did.  I saved a lot of money and got
exactly what I wanted.  I am looking forward to the energy savings of
this new spray foam insulation.  The installers were extremely professional
and neat.  They cleaned up perfectly before they left.  They were also
very nice.  If you are thinking of foam insulation, think Louisiana Home Specialist.

Everything went great.  Darren visited and sent a quote on March 6.  The work was done on March 10 and it looks like they did a great job - probably got an inch or more of additional insulation than was quoted.  Received the Angie's list discount with no problem and am very satisfied with the workmanship.  They emptied the attic out  and were careful to pay attention to all the vents, etc., so that the job was done correctly.  No doubt in my mind why this company ranks at the top of Angie's list for insulation.

They were busy so it took a long time to complete the big deal, but it was done well.

Very professional and knowledgable.  Installation was quick and everything was cleaned up after.  They even came out on a Saturday since I couldn't really take off during the week.  I would use them again.

Excellent service.  Arrived promptly and finished 1 day ahead of schedule.  Also did an excellent job with cleanup.

Louisiana Home Specialists,LLC is a top notch company. First of all they responded immediately to me filling out the purchase order of $500 of insulation for $99 on Angie's List. Darren called me about my order and came to my home to give me an estimate on insulating my atic. I needed to get extra insulation in my attic and his add on Angie's List along with the great discount caused me to take action to finally get it done. Darren responded quickly to my add and came to my home and looked at my attic and measured it and gave me two estimates. One for spray foaming the between the roofing rafters and the second one by adding six more inches of insulation over my existing insulation. Darren was very nice, courteous, and easy to talk to and has excellent customer service skills. The very next day I had my estimate on my email. Darren called me back before I could call him and asked me what I thought about the estimate. I have a large attic which covers about 2600 sq feet. His estimate was $1700 for the whole job including the $500 discount. I told him to get started as soon as possible and he and his crew were back in two days to do the job. When his crew came they went into my attic and I had things stored in different places and not in order. I also had Crown Molding thrown in my attic from the renters who took them from my garage floor and put them in my attic any kind of way. The crown moldings cost me $1700 and have been up there for approximately 3 years. Darren offered me to remove them from the attic for a small fee and I agreed because they were in the way of spraying the new insulation. I thought my crown moldings were ruined. Darren's crew straightened my whole attic, removed the crown molding and sprayed my attic to perfection! All of my stuff is stored in one place in my attic and the job looks beautiful. Unexpectedly when Darren's crew removed the crown molding from the attic it didn't look damaged as I thought. Darrens crew cleared a place in my garage an stacked the crown moldings which were 16ft lengths neatly in the cleared space for me. I couldn't have done any of this because I need double hip replacement. Also, while Darren's crew were moving my stuff into one area for storage his employee stepped on a piece of ply wood flooring which wasn't secure and stepped through my dining room ceiling. The employee was so sorry and I just wanted to make sure no one was hurt. Anyway Darren said he would have his contractor come and fix my ceiling. The next day Tim the contractor was in my house fixing my ceiling and did a wonderful job where you can't tell there was any damage to the ceiling! And guest what Tim also does Crown Molding and he's going to install the crown in my home after I've been having it lay there for seven years! So now my attic is finished with an R-31 insulation value recommended by Entergy for our climate in Louisiana. I'm going to get my overdue Crown Molding installed and Tim is also going to redo my front wood door for me. All I can say is that Louisiana Home Specialists LLC is a top notch insulation company and I would personally recommend to anyone and everyone anytime. Within one week of the estimate, which was the best price in town, LHS installed open-cell spray foam insulation in the attic and closed-cell insulation underneath the master bedroom addition of our home. The LHS crew was very professional and experienced. They did a perfect job, and I would absolutely use them again.

      As far as I am concerned,  Brett Pearse, of' Louisiana Home Specialists,  LLC,'  is an Angel.   After receiving an estimate from another company,  for over $12,400.00 plus extras, to remediate a water damaged closet and floor area,     I was resigned to having to do the job myself.      I was standing in Home Depot, trying to rent remediation equipment,  (which they don't have,) when I hear this voice behind me say "what are you trying to do?"     after telling him my dilemma,   Brett offered to come to my house, FREE OF CHARGE, DURING HIS LUNCH HOUR, to take a look at my issue and to give advice...     An hour later,  he shows up and looks at EVERY area  affected, including my sweltering attic as well as crawling around under my raised house in the dirt, so that he could get a complete picture of what was going on.       During all this,  he patiently answered EVERY one of my endless questions, and shared so much of his knowledge, time and advice.    He was offering problem- solving suggestions that five different professionals hadn't even mentioned.   At this point,  I knew his company could help me.
 When I asked him for an estimate,  he didn't even give me one right away because he was still in the mindset of simply giving me advice on how to handle things.  
 Needless to say, after pressing him for an estimate,  I hired his company to do the job.  THE NEXT MORNING,  He pulled a crew from New Orleans to come to Covington to "work me in" between  jobs.  They were punctual,  thorough and polite.  They assured me all would be alright and that my house would be back to normal in no time.
 They finished the demo in one day and the next day,  they came back to finish the thorough cleaning of every surface of the room.   But, the excellent service didn't end there .During the initial under- house inspection,  Brett, whose company specializes in foam insulation, had suggested that a dryer vent, which was venting under my house,  should be re-directed out of the crawlspace, to help with moisture issues.
 He came out the third day, IN THE POURING RAIN, and got that vent re-directed to the outside for me.  He waved me away when I asked him to add it to the invoice, claiming it was part of the job.   Brett and his crew were great to work with. They were professional, punctual and humble about their talents. They didn't try to 'gouge' me with extra costs or use scare tactics to run up the bill.  Needless to say,  my independent Air Quality tester, Patrick Knight,  (who was also fantastic,) came back, re-tested and "cleared" the room, confirming that the guys did a fantastic and THOROUGH job at containment and clean up!  I owe Brett, Darren and the crew of' Louisiana Home Specialists, LLC' a world of thanks and gratitude for a job well done.
