Not well will never call this company again

Job went well. House was built in 1997 and has not been updated. We just bought it and had some issues with the electrical. Called GM Electrical and they were out in two days after, we told them it was non-emergency, and on time. They fixed all the little things on my wife's list explaining what they were doing as they went. They hit a road block when trying to fix dead outlet. They made a few phone calls back to their office and finally figured out that the sheet rock company had covered a box years ago and didn't connect the wire. They figured it out I plan on hiring them to help wire a shop I am fixing to install. They honored their coupon as well.

The services provided were completed on time and we were pleased with the outcome. The employees and owner of the company were very polite and listened to our questions and comments patiently throughout this process.The area was also cleaned upon completion. They were quick, efficient, and did exactly what we requested. They also checked into another lighting issue inside our home at no charge.

I had called another electrician for two days and gotten nothing in response.  A previous company wanted $350 just to troubleshoot.  So I found GM on Angie's list.  Mr. Mcneely called me back same day and had a crew out first thing the next morning.  Solved in 30 minutes.  Nice folks.  I did ask them to look at another problem and haven't heard back on that - it was a bit more involved.

GM was punctual and performed the work satisfactorily . I would use their services on future electrical needs.

The price was a little high, since it wasn't very much buying new pods and thought it was a little bit cheaper.  They did the work behind it.  I didn't worry about them much and probably just wanted to get it finished.  I did feel things were difficult a bit.  I checked on Angie's List and I rate by the quotes to where I was located as some of them were in the distance, so they were the closest.  The quality was fine.  They did pretty well with their response and were friendly too.  They only came when they said they would be coming.  They were professional.  I don't know if I would use them because I am concerned about the pricing and probably would check around other places.

Overall, GM Electric surpassed my expectations. It was a great experience!

Moved out of a house that I will continue to own.  The outlets in the master bathroom had not worked for months.  Called Mr. McNeely on Wednesday afternoon.  He returned my call right away and was able to schedule a service call for 8 am to meet my schedule.  Showed up on time and fixed the problem w/in 2 minutes.  Didn't charge for anything.

Job went well.  I liked that G M Electric was willing to work with me / tailor the job scope to what I was looking for and willing to pay.  He did not take exception to me doing some of the more labor intensive work (ie. fishing the wire in the outside walls, etc.) and using him to handle the electrical scope I was not comfortable with to meet my budget / cost goal (don't get me wrong....he's willing and capable to do the full scope but recognized his labor cost to fish some of the more difficult wires was likely much higher than my willingness to spend a Saturday morning doing it myself to keep the project cost where I wanted it).  They were very timely.  In short, G M Electric is willing to work with you to deliver the project you're looking for.  I rated the Overall experience as 'Excellent' but graded the quality and price as a 'Good'.  To have been 'Excellent' in all areas, I would have liked more dialogue on the quality of the parts (specifically the new breaker box installed in my workshop) to be used.  While I have no concern on the functionality......I was surprised to learn the breaker box would not have a door on it and in a small workshop / high dust environment this may be a future concern.  I realize, however, I did not specifically request this nor scope it out but suggest some healthy discussion initiated by both parties on what materials will be used to ensure the end-product will exactly meet your needs (I know now....job bidding 101).  Again, they do good work, willing to work with you, be specific about what you're asking for and what parts will be used (ie. don't expect the highest quality work at the cheapest price).

Showed up on time, had a new helper so there was some interesting back and forth between the two of them. Mr. McNeely enacted a temporary fix so we could run the AC and offered to come replace the box super early the next day so things wouldn't heat up too much while the electricity was off. He and his two helpers returned, on time, the next day and did a fine job of replacing the box. There was some cleanup left for us and due to a different sized box, some sheetrock repair The price outweighed the cleanup.

I've had problems with lights dimming when the AC or water pump was running since I bought the house a year and a half ago. I've had the well and AC serviced, and was told by both service people that I should have my electricity checked, as there was no problem with those units. I picked GM Electric from Angie's list because he is local and insured. On his first visit, he quickly identified that the main power coming into the house was lower than it should be; he called Cleco right then and they came out that day and replaced the line (house is about 40 years old). Mr. McNeely looked at my breaker panel and noted that I had no main breaker. I told him that eventually I wanted to run electricity to the garage and outside, and he suggested that a new, larger panel with new breakers would insure that I would be able to do that, and that I would no longer have any electrical problems. He called with an estimate and we agreed on a date and time. The weather delayed him, but he came the following day and with one helper, removed the old panel and breakers (had to cut into the sheetrock to do this); replaced it with a new, larger panel and new breakers; and converted my well to 220. He was professional throughout and I am quite satisfied with his work. When I am ready to add electricity to the garage and outside, I will call him.

They did a good job. They came when they said they would and did what they said they would at the right price.
