"This was my first time using Angies List and hiring someone that I did not know. But these guys were fantastic. They did great work, at a reasonable price. And were fast to respond and get it done. Also, now that our dryer vent is clean, the dryer works much much better."

"He kept his appointment on time, went right to work, knew exactly what our problem was (a 2 story townhouse) and within 45 minutes had us cleaned up and ready to use the dryer. He even inspected the blower inside the dryer to make sure it was clean. Air flow went from 2.1 mph to 8.6 mph when he was finished. I would use him again with no hesitation."

"I would definitely tell everyone with dirty air ducts and mold to use this company !! The owner of the company, came to the house and quoted me a price of 1800.00 for two units! I have around 12 air vents and of course two intakes. He was very nice and very upfront on the work that needed to be done. On the day his crew came they were very friendly and informative. They started at around 8 and they were finished before 2. They removed all of my air vents and cleaned them, they have never looked so good, and finished up with spraying a Mold Remediator through the whole units.. The price was exactly what they quoted!! no extra hidden expenses."

"We are so pleased with the service from No Sweat A/C! We had broken ducts and the owner Clynt came out and assessed the situation right away. He and his helper did a great job and fixed the problem. We now can use our unit again! Very professional, courteous, and with a great work ethic. We highly recommend No Sweat Air A/C! Thank you so much!"

"They did a great job. On time, professional , knowledgeable and efficient. The cleaned my 20 foot dryer vent and now my dryer works even better. Checked all the smoke detectors explained how they work and how long they are good for. The same with the co2 detectors. He also explained about the fire extinguishers and which one are the best for which room. I will defiantly have them come back again next year for the yearly inspection.

Dryer Vent Cleaning questions, answered by experts

To lower humidity quickly, run a dehumidifier or your home's air conditioner or turn on exhaust fans to extract moisture. These methods can quickly and effectively bring your home's humidity levels to a comfortable condition. However, you should consistently practice humidity-reducing tasks to maintain proper indoor humidity levels.

There are several common warning signs that indicate your dryer vent may be clogged. If your clothes are taking longer than usual to dry, the vent could be the culprit. Other signs include the exterior of the dryer becoming very hot during operation, or the dryer shutting itself off due to overheating. You might also notice an excess of lint left inside the dryer or in the lint trap after a cycle, see lint building up around the exterior vent opening, or detect unusual or burning odors. A clogged dryer vent is a serious fire hazard, so if you notice any of these signs, you should stop using the dryer and have the vent cleaned immediately.

Professionals use specialized tools to clean dryer vents effectively. These tools typically include a combination of flexible rods and brushes designed to navigate the vent's twists and turns. The brushes dislodge and loosen lint and debris, while the rods help extend the reach through the vent. High-powered vacuums with HEPA filters are also used to capture and remove the dislodged lint and particles, ensuring a thorough cleaning. In some cases, professionals may employ video inspection cameras to assess the condition of the vent and confirm that it's entirely clean.

Yes, mold can grow in a wet dryer vent. Mold is a type of fungi, and fungi thrive in warm, moist conditions. Dryer vents need to be aired out so heat can escape and moisture can dry. If your dryer vents aren’t properly vented, the trapped heat and moisture will cause mold to grow, and the mold can spread to the dryer and even your clothes. Not only can this leave a musty smell on your freshly laundered clothes, but—more importantly—it also poses a health risk.

You can clean a dryer vent yourself by unplugging the dryer from your wall outlet, removing your vent pipe from your dryer, removing debris from the pipe and dryer area, and looking at the exterior vent exit for any debris or blockages.
