AUGIE'S EXTERMINATING LLC

I have been using the company for almost seven years. They do an awesome job.

I have been a customer of this company for 17 years. Augie Senior ran a great business, always took care of the customer - polite - professional - priced competitively. Unfortunately, Augie Sr. retired 2 years ago and Augie Jr took over the business. First service after his retirement I was told by Augie Jr that he had been after his dad for years to go up on my price - and now he is going up on me and also will not renew my contract. Well .... OK, since they were on site to do the treatment I went ahead with it ... and then... I called about 3 months ago because I was having a problem with mice. The lady (Angie I believe) that answered the call was extreamly rude. She said "It's termite season and I am not booking anything but termite treatments, you need to call another company" - Wow - I never heard of telling a loyal customer of 17 years to call another company. So I did. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when I am now calling to schedule my annual termite treatment. Admittedly I did forget about the appointment and when the young man called and said he was at my house , I apologized - he was very nice and just said it happens, call the office and reschedule. A week later I get a bill in the mail - I called Augies and got the same lady on the phone. She was again extreamly rude. I said - I have a bill but the service wasn't performed so I need to reschedule. She insisted they had sprayed and done a visual inspection even though the young man told me they were not doing that because no one was home. I said, the appointment was for a termite treatment - not a spraying and I have new piers under the house as well as new sidewalk down one side - there is no evidence that new "bait plugs" were put in or any type of treatment done. Angie got very rude and said she had no idea what I was talking about "we don't do that type of treatment" - I said that is what they have done for 17 years and again I do not see any evidence it was done on the trip in question so I need to reschedule . Angie says It's not my problem and I don't care if you pay your bill or not !! REALLY - I said - mam ,if you work there it is your problem. May I please reschedule and would you have Augie come out with the technician . Fast forward to the day of service - the technicians were very nice and professional. They did a great job - but.... Augie told them to tell me he was tied up and couldn't make it. So I relayed my problem with Angie to the tech and they passed it along to Augie that I would like him to call me. Still waiting........................ Obviously Augie Jr does not need my business and doesn't care how his employees treat his customers because like I said I am still waiting and no call.......... To bad. I have referred at least 10 other customers to them over the years . Next year I will find a new company that cares about having my business and I will no longer refer anyone to this company. The short of it is - I do not recommend this company. You will get a bill and an attitude from the office people - who are for whatever reason disgruntled and do not care to have your business or not.

I have been using Augies  for over 10 years , great prices very professional.   I lived in Meraux Louisiana   had  them treat my house after Hurricane Katrina . with bora care for studs, also renewed new termite contract.    Built house in Marrero Louisiana had them treat lot before I poured slab also have an on going contract for termites in 2015.

When we purchased our home, the previous owner had a contract with Augie's and so we decided to use them as well. They have been out to do quarterly pest control, termite pretreatment as stated above and the yearly termite inspection. Every employee that we have come in to contact with, including the owner, has been very friendly, professional, and proficient. They are easy to get in contact with, very accommodating in their scheduling and always show up on time. Their prices seem very reasonable and I feel confident in the work they have done. I will continue to use them and will not hesitate to recommend them in the future.

While cleaning the garage, we noticed termites in one corner. Augie's was recommended to us and he personally stopped by that same afternoon. He inspected both garage and house and then suggested a course of treatment and future prevention. He gave us a written proposal containing the work involved and price.The technicians, Chip and Mike, arrived promptly before noon on the following day. They performed the drilling, trenching, and spraying thoroughly and politely. Their demeanor was professional and helpful. Mike even helped cut back some wooden fencing which was touching the garage. Chip also pointed out possible trouble areas and explained how to avoid future issues.

Sometimes they do complete pest control. If there is new construction nearby we get loads of mice. They are every where. I think Augie's is pretty expensive. Every other time they will spray inside the house for roaches. We use them because they already had the contract when we bought the house. It's a matter of convenience. They are prompt, and come when you call.

They are very good. The job that they did was excellent. They did what really needed to be done. I pay them about $100 a year on my contract. They are prompt. They come pretty much immediately when I call them. If I tell them that I found termites in the wall, they come instantly and take care of it. I would continue to use them in the future.

Overall it went well

Overall I am satisfied with the company and the work performed. From initial inspection to completion of the work, I would recommend the company to others. There were some scheduling difficulties. They canceled on me the first time due to illness, which I understand and appreciate. They were apologetic and were able to re-schedule for the following week. However, the second appointment came and went without so much as a phone call from them. I phoned to ask where they were, and received no response until over an hour later when Isabelle, the office manager (?), phoned to apologize that they hadn't been able to get in touch with me sooner. We rescheduled for two days later, and I expressed my disappointment and let her know that this would be the last appointment I made, whether they came or not. Friday came and they arrived in spite of a truck break down and having to transport their equipment to Augie's personal truck, which showed me he valued my business and were committed to getting the work done that day. Augie came with another worker, Ryan, and they were there for around 3 hours drilling and spraying. They went above and beyond, removing some debris from under the house while they were at it, and taking time to explain everything they were doing, and pointing out areas of concern.

I am very happy with them. Very personal and always there when they say they are going to be. Reasonably priced.
