When we built our house in 2011, our builder contracted River Cities to do the flooring and tile work throughout the house. The flooring and kitchen backsplash are fine. However the tiled shower was incorrectly installed causing it to leak. It began leaking within the first year. (This should’ve been our sign to make them redo it, but we trusted them to do what was right!) Instead of tearing it out and redoing it back then like they should have, they decided to “patch” it by trying new products and by putting globs of silicone on it. They even once blamed the shower door for the leaking! They came out countless times to “fix” it over the last 7 years. We gave them ample opportunity to right their wrong!! To top it off, the guy giving the quote (Brian) would not call me back. However my husband called and Brian called back within 30 minutes. (This was after I tried calling him for a full week!!) The quote given to my husband wasn’t even a firm price! After an entire week you would think they could’ve come up with a price to charge! We weren’t even asking for a discount, just trying to get a non-leaky shower! We decided to go with another company since River Cities messed it up to begin with and were awful about returning calls to move forward. When the shower was torn out, we discovered there was no shower pan!! They had used an alternative where you seal the concrete and put in a net. Well the net was missing!!! This is why the shower had leaked from the very beginning! If they would’ve replaced it when it first started leaking, it would’ve been half the price. But after seven years, our tile was discontinued making the entire shower need to be replaced. I will never use or recommend them! Our neighbors with the same builder using River Cities had the same leaky shower problems so I know we were not an isolated event! Save yourself in the long run and go somewhere else!!

This was a two day job. First day my living room carpet was pulled up and a new vinyl plank floor was installed. They did a great job. I was so impressed with the results.

Overall it went very well. The workers did a great job and kept me informed of what they were doing. Explained the steps to me when I asked. I was a bit concerned when they told me that a shower pan would not be installed however, they said what they were doing was newer and better. When they were done, they told me to call if I see an pin holes/cracks along the crevices in the next couple of days. I called the following day and they showed that afternoon to fix them. Very prompt and very professional workers. However, James, who I guess is a store manager, is anything but professional. When we received the itemized invoice (which we were told they don't do and now I know why), we noticed that we were being charged $350 for a shower pan. I called and talked to James who told me they did put a pan in. I explained to James what the workers told me and I asked him to please call them to verify. He didn't like that and said "Fine" in an abrupt tone and hung up on me. Not real professional of him. He should have made sure that I didn't have any other questions and should have said something to the effect that he would call me back shortly. Again, the workers were great, however, James, should not be dealing with customers. Brian called from River Cities and was extremely polite and took the time to explain that the workers did install a shower pan although not a traditional one. I asked Brian to pass on to the owner that I appreciate him (Brian) calling back in addition to passing on the rudeness of James. He said he would.

We were VERY happy with the quality and timing of the work they did. My husband and I were ecstatic with how it all looked and the professionalism of the workers. I would definitely recommend River Cities Floors and those who work for them for any future jobs.

They showed up when they were supposed to every day. They said it would take three days and they finished up in three and a half. I was pleased with their speed and attention to detail. They cleaned up before leaving every day. They built the bench in my shower in accordance with the instruction of my contractor (who did not ask me what I wanted). They redid it the next day without complaint or extra cost to me when I realized that, as built, it would block the shower door I intended to install. Linda at their showroom was a great help in selecting materials.
