We called and went by off and on for the next several months and were told he was so busy, and had had an ailing father, etc and that it wasn't ready. After almost a year, I called and said I was coiming in to get my clock. He said he had been waiting on us to call him and that it was ready! When I went to get it, his son put it in the front seat of my car and pushed the seat up. When he did, the clock hit the dash and chipped a piece of the wood off the top end of the clock. He did not take the moving piece out, but left it hanging on the bar in the clock. When I got it home it would not work. I called and they told me how to reset it and to watch it. I tried and it still did not work. Apparently, leaving the piece hanging while in transit isn't recommended. They told me to take it back. I did. A few months later, when they told me it was ready, I went to get the clock. I brought it home. IT STILL DOES NOT WORK. I will not let them try again.
Description of Work: We wanted to get our antique mantel clock cleaned and repaired. (it would not keep accurate time). He told us we had an expensive clock and also that it would take a couple of months, so that he could watch it to make sure it was keeping time. He said he would call us when he was sure it was. He charged us $250.00 plus tax.

They put new works in, and only put in two stoke movements. They are battery operated clocks, the only way to adjust the time is to take the battery out and wait until the next day at that time and put the battery back in. Their work was cheap, they were lazy. I was very dissatisfied. In another instance, I dropped off a coo-coo clock and it has taken a year to give me an estimate on my coo-coo clock.
Description of Work: They repaired two mantle clocks, that have four stoke movements in them.

Clock was dropped off in May for repairs. I was told the work would not be complete until August. I was also told that I could not leave the back of the clock and was given it by the person at the store when I left it for repairs. I called to get a progress report the middle August and left a message on the answering machine. I did not receive a call back so 1 week later I called and spoke with Vaughn. He seemed somewhat confused and I had to describe the clock to him. Then he realized he did, in fact have the clock and admitted loosing the ticket. He said he would have it repaired in two weeks and would call me. He did so and I picked the clock up on September 4th. When I got home I went to put the back on the clock but it did not fit. The only thing I could surmise is that I was given the wrong piece when I dropped the clock off for repair. I called and Vaughn asked that I bring the clock and the back piece in so I could he could look at it. When I arrived he had a box of what appeared to be backs from other clocks but none of them fit. When I expressed how ridiculous the situation was he and the lady behind the counter said, "you took it when she gave it to you" implying that it was my error. In my opinion they were very quick to blame me for what I believe was their mistake. I decided to leave and Vaughn became very upset and raised his voice. He followed me out of the door at which time I asked him to stop yelling at me.
Description of Work: Replaced a part in a clock.
