Install windows and patio door

Early morning of 16th found leak in back bedroom from rain. Mid morning I looked on Angie's list for roofers and found Ark-La-Tex Exteriors with great reviews. I called the office and talked to a real person. She said Cody was in South Shreveport on a job and would have to call me back. In a couple of hours I got the call. He said he would come out and see what was needed. Sure enough he came by, examined the roof and offered to nail the leaking shingles down for free. Instead I asked if he could schedule to replace any shingles that were needed because I had had previous problems with the original builders shingles sliding off because of improper attachment. He quoted a very reasonable price and said it might take a couple of days to get it done. The same afternoon one of his people came by and said he would be able to do the repair the next morning at 7:00 AM.
The next morning, 17th, the employee shows up with new shingles and replaces quite a few because he found not only the lifted leaking shingles but several that were nailed down incorrectly. I am one happy customer. Each person with this company was helpful, friendly, concerned and professional. I have never had a better contractor experience and I have sold to contractors for the past 38 years.

Arrived at 7:00 am on a Saturday, removed the old roof and installed new roof. Cleaned up their mess and completed in about 12 hours.

I had wind damage to my roof in 2010. I requested an estimate from Ark-La-Tex Exteriors as my third estimate. His was much lower than the other two and I looked at the work from his and one of the other roofers. His work looked better and as the lowest estimate I chose him to re-roof my house. His employees began work within a day or two. They finished and cleaned everything up in a day except a couple of details which were completed early the next morning. That was in September of 2010. Roof still looks to have been replaced yesterday.

My impression of Chase Lockwood is that he eats, sleeps and breathes his business. He is proactive, attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and communicates well. Mr. Lockwood's employees have good work ethic and seem to enjoy working for him. From this one experience, I would recommend Ark-La-Tex Exteriors with no problem. One of the roofers I passed up is closer to the top of the list in grading, which is a mystery to me.

I called for an estimate to get reshingled and Chase came out, gave me an estimate and also told me to get with my insurance and that he would meet with them at my house to look over the roof and that he thought insurance should cover it . He met my insurance guy a week later on my roof and everything ended up paid for by insurance!

I have also had them come out and put siding on the house and some other small jobs. Everything has been done quickly and with the upmost of quality. I also have a couple other things around here they will be doing as I get the money to pay for it.

I decided to have the old roof removed.
Then 30 pound felt was put down. Next was the Tuder Brown
26 gauge metal from McElroys. Color was great.
Trim was put all around the house.
The men were very punctual and worked all day - no playing around or leaving early.
Everybody was polite and professional.
They did a great job cleaning up also.
My roof looks really good.
