The Chimney Man

Very well. He found some problems and showed them to us. We discussed what needed to be done and the job was completed

He was very nice and on time. He put out his sheet like other chimney sweeps, he had a large vacuum and I could hear large pieces of build up coming out of the chimney. I feel he did a great job. His price was $80 less than one of his competitors in our area.

It was pretty good. The guy was in and out of our house. It worked fine. I never had a gas fireplace so the guy walked me through particularly how it works. He was very informative. The pricing was good. They were on time.

Bobby Robinson, The Chimney Man, came to inspect the chimney within 2 days of the first call. Completed the initial work within 2 weeks, scheduled according to my schedule. He gave me alternatives on what could be done on sealing the external bricks and did additional research to ensure best price and best results. He seemed knowledgeable, professional and fair in pricing. I was very pleased.

He was very thorough and very clean.

He was very nice, helpful, and he made sure everything was clean when he left. He taught us how to burn a fire properly in the fireplace and gave instructions on the different parts of the fireplace. He even offered to come to our new home and help us operate a wood burning fireplace.

He was very efficient and did everything the old fashioned way. He was very thorough and not make a mess. He just did a really good job.

He was extremely knowledgeable. I have a gas fire starter and he explained how it works and what I needed to do to maintain my chimney. A part of the chimney had collapsed and he repaired that, and just was extremely helpful. I give them the highest ratings across the board.

He arrived right on time and was very efficient and finished the job, while I kept talking with him. Was the best!

Mr. Robinson was wonderful! I called him on Monday and he had a cancellation on Tuesday so he came in then. He was very knowledgable and professional. He explained the things he was doing and seemed truly concerned about fire safety. The whole process was very quick and easy! If I could give him an A++++++ I would!

I called Bob Robinson, Jr - AKA and quot;The Chimney Manand quot; on 6/1/2011. He did not anwer his phone, so I left a voice message. Bob called my back in one hour and apologized for not answering my call (he had left his pager at home). We set up an appointment for 8:30 AM the next day (6/2/2011)

On the day of the appointment Bob called me while on the way to my home to let me know he would be slightly delayed, something I liked, and arrived only 15 minutes late.

Bob, whom is a retired City of Shreveport Assistant Fire Chief, came fully prepared. He set up a tarp to protect my carpet and the area surrounding my fireplace. Bob did a very thorough interior inspection of my gas fireplace, to include starting it, inspecting the gas flow, and determined that cleaning and repair was not needed. Bob also did a very thorough gound level visual inspection of my chimney and determined from his experienced eyes that I was OK and he did not need to do a further roof-top inspection of the chimney.

I also asked Bob to check my dryer vent located on an interior wall (connected to garage). Bob did a very thorough interior inspection of my dryer vent, and determined that cleaning was not needed. He stated that the current set up (where the vent is attached to a water filter used to catch lint) was fine, however he recommended a duct improvement using PVC pipe to vent dryer exaust out of garage and recommended a Handyman to do the work, whom I plan to check out.

Getting my fireplace checked was one of several things on a large list of and quot;home maintenanceand quot; projects that I mentioned to Bob. whom also provided recommendations for other contractors, whom he has had good work from in the past, all of whom I plan to check out.

Bob is very knowledgable, punctual (despite the delay) personable, and thorough.. I highly recommend anyone needing their fireplace and/or dryer vent checked call Bob Robinson, Jr - AKA and quot;The Chimney Manand quot;.

Bob is very friendly and good at what he does. He was a Firefighter for the city of Shreveport, and was very informative on fireplace safety. We're new home owners, and called "The Chimney Man" to come and do an inspection on our chimney because it failed the inspection on our Home Inpsection before we bought our house. Bob was very timely, he came out the next day to carry out his inspection. Initially, he was to inspect and clean our chimney, but he discovered that the chimney had in fact been recently cleaned and repaired, and that he didn't need to do anything. Bob was very friendly and very helpful. He gave us his personal contacts to help us with our future home rennovations. We will be bringing Bob back every year for our annual chimney inspection and cleaning.
