Wellington Estate Sales, is owned by myself. I go into a home/'office when someone needs to sell the contents of the home/office/building. I price everything myself. I usually have myself, and 2 - 3 staff members to run the actual sale.

We canceled the estate sale and will have it at a later date. We found her to be highly unprofessional and self-serving and we will never do business with her again. Missed appointments. We are still waiting on her check for the merchandise her 'family and friends' bought during a steady stream of pre-sale visits minus the hours she and quot;put inand quot;. She was supposed to have it to us by last Friday, 11/09/2012 and it is not here yet...we learned a lot of valuable lessons doing business with her - unfortunately, too late. 12/5/12 - We did finally get the check in with no invoiceing or accountability.
Description of Work: Steady stream of "friends and relatives" in and out of the storage warehouse and personal residence for pre-sales Low-balling prices to pre-sell to "friends and relatives" mentioned above Very poor record keeping but I am guilty of that as well, I could not be there everyday to keep track of her and her activities and trusted her - big mistake.

There are always 2 sides to a story. I was so shocked to read this review. There is a clause in my contract that says that I can pre-sale (before the actual sale). The client agreed to that; she didn't have to, but she did. I did have people that I know come in and buy. She had agreed to that. As an estate sale, I do not sell retail. I price the items to sell. All of this had been discussed up front with the client. I put all my pricing on a spreadsheet, so that the owner can look at my pricing. I always stress to my client to pay attention to the spreadsheet and the pricing. If there is a problem with the pricing or anything else, I need to know that on a daily basis. Even though I had provided the spreadsheet to the client, I don't think that she looked at the pricing. It was Always available to her from the first day. So, yes, I did pre-sale, and had sold quite a few items and made her some early money. About the check that she said she never received. This really upset me. I mailed the check to her on a Thursday, just as I told her that I would that morning. The following Friday (8 days later), the check came back to me in the mail. The post office said that it was "undeliverable." I called her, read the address to her that she had given me, and she said that that was the correct address. I suggessted that she give me an alternate adddress, which she did, and she received the check the next day. If this client was so "worried" about my professionalism and where her check was in those 8 days, why didn't she just pick up the phone and call me? All she had to do was ask me where her check was. Now why, she did not express this to you at this time, I have no idea. I really think that she wanted to make me out to be a "monster" to the public. She really made me out to be an incredibly unprofessional person, and that is just not the case. I really think that in her mind, she thought that I was lowballing the pricing, but in actuality, this is the way I have been pricing for years. I price to sell I also take into account our economy. It is just not the same as it was 10 years ago, or even 5 years ago. I have owned an antique shop for 4 years and have been successful at that venture. What I price in my shop, and what I price in my estate sales are very different. People that go to estate sales are looking for a bargain. I always explain this upfront to my customers. But, I do NOT give the merchandise away. I price according to the market. The client also said that I missed appointments. I truly have no idea what she is talking about. To my knowledge, I had no appointments to make. I worked everyday in the warehouse. But, I had no "appointments." She could find me at the warehouse everyday. The client never came to the warehouse while I was there working. I am very sorry that this misunderstanding has happened. It has thrown me for a loop. I don't think that my character has ever been questionend like this before. I've always had nothing but praise and positive feedback from my clients. I would also like to point out, that this client never allowed me to answer any questions. She just fired me, and then wrote this terrible response. I never was given the chance by her to explain or answer anything. It was just over and done with, and then I got this grueling response. In my opinion, I think that this was very unfair and unprofessional. I love the estate sale business; it is my passion. I will continue to work in the business, and continue to give it my best at all times. Thank you to the many people that I have worked with who have given me a glowing recommendation. I will always strive for perfection.

I heard about them through another service provider, and it was a very delightful experience. Cindi and Jewel were delightful to work with, and did an excellent estate sale. I would use them again if needed, and I would recommend them.
