It is going well, not completed yet. Delays resulted from the insurance adjustor's unresponsiveness, and a struggle to obtain a permit for the construction. The permit process, which involves the city and the Rapides Area Planning Commission was delayed by the planning commission process or lack of information about the process. The inspector took his time responding, was off on vacation for a week, and these things have delayed the process.
Description of Work: Major repairs to kitchen, dining room, ceilings, attic, roof decking from fire in kitchen apparently starting in the vent hood over the stove. The entire house will be repainted. I will take this opportunity to refinish the pine floors. This is a two bedroom one bath frame house used as a rental. It is a neat little house, build in about 1945, and as such has ship lap boards throughout.
