Many cancelled appointments. Late often. A 2-3 day project turned into a disaster (5 weeks). He wanted to take shortcuts and leave me with a total bombed out job. He didn't want to sand the trim after it was hung to smooth it out and just started painting over the trim you could see every seam in every corner, then he started painting the trim. Threw a totally different off colored left over tan paint (from another job) on the trim instead of white like the doors were painted. Refused to sand and smooth out the trim because HE ran out of money. Complained that he had spent too much time on this project and he was having to travel 2 hrs round trip and I was being too picky & difficult. We agreed upon a price & he knew he had to travel when he accepted the project. (He asked for 1/3 of the price before he even started the project so that he can purchase supplies & I didn't have a problem with that) & I paid. Most professionals that I know have money to make these kinds of purchases. What professional does that? He refused to fix all of his mess-ups and he 1st offered to pack up and leave. I asked him to fix his mess ups and he said he had run out of money and he had done many jobs and that was the best that it was going to look. I showed him how trim looked in other rooms in my house and you couldn't see the seams and he agreed. I asked him to pack up and leave. He never acted like a professional in my opinion and no I would never recommend him to anyone.

Dalton Huffman was professional and courteous. He returned my initial call promptly. We scheduled a quote. The quote was very fair for the amount of work. We discussed paint and my expectations. He was careful in his work and of my property. He and his employee primed and painted the whole house. I am very particular and he met all my requests and expectations. I highly recommend him.

I had not foreseen the need fir excessive dry wall preparation of which I had to make extra allowance for in price, but this was more easily managed when Dalton agreed to come down on overall price. Not only did we have s meeting if the minds , but I learned more that needed to be done during the job that I otherwise would have neglected had I done it myself. Will enlist him again when I continue with other room(s).
