John Green

Painter John Green came highly recommended by my contractor. Our verbal agreement (we still do such in southern Louisiana) was $3000 to paint interior of my newly remodeled house ? which I paid in incremental advances because I sympathized with this very nice man. John began his quality work and I was much pleased. By the third day, however, John brought in ?helpers? who ? I later learned -- were found on the street. At first John corrected their poor work. Then John stopped coming to the job, leaving the amateurs to slop putty and paint like school kids. I was horrified when I saw the final product. Cost to clean, scrape, and repaint: $5000. What you see at first is not always what you get!
