The owner came to look at the job prior to starting. I asked him several times if he could rebuild it and he continually told me yes. I told him that my plan was going to just put a clear coat on it. He said he could get it done in 2-3 days. So I hired him. The 1st day it was raining and he asked if they could use the garage to cut the wood and I said yes. The owner came the 1st day and and showed the workers what to do and then he left. The workeres he left could not speak english. They would have to use a phone app to speak to me and vice versa. When they were about three days into it I told the owner thatbthere were issues with the stairs. Either the risers weren't touching the wall or the stairs.
