piano tuning

Description of Work: I called Mr. Shaw the very day I found out about him on Angie's list and asked if there was any way he could come out before Christmas day to tune my piano. He said he had a technician that he thought could work me in that same day. The technician came early in the afternoon and did a great job, and then played the piano for me.

 + -1 moreUnfortunately, Mr. Shaw's GPS took him to another street name very close to mine, but was 10-12 minutes away. He apologized and said he was always punctual. He was extremely nice, direct and very knowledgeable about his line of work. He pulled out a mini iPad to help tune along with the other tools and within 2 hours, my piano was tuned (after not being tuned in many years and countless moves). He then proceeded to my church in Covington and tuned that piano in less than 2 hours! Again, very swift and professional; the other church employees found him the same. He did recommend a list of maintenance items that the church piano needs. He recommended this maintenance be done, out of care for the piano, not for his own pocketbook!
Description of Work: I contacted Mr. Shaw on Sunday after I found his name and number on Angie's List. Within 15 minutes, he returned my call. I indicated that I was looking to have my personal upright piano tuned and was also interested in having our baby grand at my church tuned as well. Although he didn't have his calendar with him at that exact time, he called me later that evening to schedule a day for that week. He was able to schedule both pianos in on that Thursday!

piano tuning
 + -1 moreWe have used his services exclusively for more than 5 years, and I feel confident in his craftsmanship. He is honest and reliable and punctual. His prices are extremely reasonable.
Description of Work: Mr. Shaw has regularly tuned and regulated our 7-foot grand piano for over five years. We use the piano every day so every six months or so, we have her tuned. Mr. Shaw keeps us in his scheduling calendar and calls us when it is time to tune her, which is a convenient service.
