"We are very confused on our side. $8,500 was the job cost, but $5,000 of this was for materials. I, Charlie RIck, remember meeting with Mr. [Member Name Removed], he said he had some money being taken and that the job had to be done with in 3 weeks. I was already booked up, I agreed to this. Little did we know that there would be pool guys there at the same time as us. Imagine building a custom patio deck that cost well more then $8,500, and using 16' and 18' length materials with a fence 3 to the right, and guys 3' to the front. Also, I am mind puzzled on how nice this guy was to my face and my guys, how he had to pay us through email from an account that was not his. The entire time I was nervous about getting paid, while he was being nice and everything. To me, I put this job on top of other jobs to help this customer with his needs. For this to be the grade towards my company, lets me know how much of a person he is. Anyone can check any of my sites, Linked-In, Facebook, Google Plus, Angies list other comments, and will never find a commit like this. Or contact anyone we have ever worked for and you will know home much BS this truly is. If you or anyone you know is like this guy, we would prefer not to work for you as well. For we like to work for honest people. Not anyone who would take from a women that has passed away. If the entire story was truly out there, I would be truly ashamed to be [Member Name Removed]. S. .......Maybe this response is uncalled for. But the response I see is very uncalled for. People at its greatest"
As the installation was almost ending, I noticed that the crew had neglected to install some minor trim, which they did not think were necessary, but quickly added them.
In my younger years, I was an avid DIYer, but felt that my skills had waned and that I did not have the necessary tools to properly install this railing system. If I had been doing the job, I would have made one or two minor changes in the installation, but the differences were not enough to reject the job.
I was initially quoted a set amount for 2 men for 2 hours and then a cost per man per hour. The men arrived at 9 am and were finished by noon. When I spoke with Charles Rick to establish the final cost, I was advised that he was charging me $250 for a 1/2 day job (slightly more than the previously agreed upon hourly rate). I accepted the change and asked to pay by Credit Card (also previously agreed on), and was told that it would cost him too much for him to accept a Credit Card, but that I could use PayPal. I did pay him by PayPal.
I have emailed him twice requesting an Invoice with his Letterhead for my records, but have not received this Invoice copy.
I would not use Charlie Rick, LLC for the reasons stated in the last two paragraphs.
"Mr. {Member's name removed}, I just got your review from last year for some odd reason I did not receive through my email. Very sorry you have decided not to use our services again. The email that you had sent me twice I did not receive either. Maybe spam or something. Also, anything over 3 hours I normally charge $325.00 for a half day. By the time I get my guys in the truck, get the proper tools ready to come do the work, show up, set up, clean up, then haul off all debree, I would have normally charged $375.00 I had actually gave you a discount. I am a hourly company and do understand your reasoning for the review, but as stated when we met, we are a hourly company and charge what we charge and you agreed. For me, I believe the review you left was kind but kinda unfair beings I had discounted you for that half day service. Also keep in mind, our job doesn't stop at you house, we had to also go home and work as well. Had to take out the old boards and boxes that we filled my trailer with, had to also clear out the back of my truck from your old wood and gate parts. But, customers are always right, I only leave when they are happy every time, and I do feel you was happy. But its very said you would not use us again......"
