Jeff never finished the job on the deck.  He requested ad advance to pay for materials to finish the job and never came back.  Lots of promises but no action.  He was consistently late in his schedule and had some no shows with no warning. He did send partial payments of the advance but then stopped.

He met with us gave us the estimate, talked to the insurance company and agreed to do the job for $4400.  He asked for $3000 up front, & we gave him $2600 for materials.  We had not heard from him so we called him and he said he was backed up, then the supplies were backed up.  He finally had some materials dropped off at our house.  We have been calling him many times, and get no response.  We ended up having to contact a lawyer and he wouldn't even respond to the lawyers letters, we have lost a lot of money with him

Jeff Caldwell gave an estimate in December 2011 for roof repair taking the $2900.00 down payment and was scheduled to arrive on Dec. 26th.  His first excuse was that the dumpster company was closed and he needed to push the date back.  On the second set date, he said he was in the hospital.  These seemed like valid excuses but from that day on the date kept getting pushed back because of the "weather" even though he said he had plenty of tarps and supplies in case of rain.  Finally we asked him how many days he would need.  He said three.  When we looked at the forecast and could find good weather, he would say that he would do it, then never show up.  This went on well into April. We finally said we wanted our money back and he said he would refund it, but then cut off all contact.  We went to a lawyer who said we could garnish his wages, but we decided to give him one more chance.  Wrote him an email and told him about the lawyer and to give our money back or give us a date that he would do the work.  He set the date of June 25th and said he would definitely be there.  He was a no call, no show.  Now it is over a month later and we still haven't gotten our money back.  Jeff, if you're reading this, give us our money back and we will consider taking down this review.  Otherwise, Jeff Caldwell is not to be trusted at all and is a liar and a crook and we will see what we can do about pressing charges.  

Jeff did not clean up after removing and replacing deck. He requested $1200 for materials in advance for additional work but never returned to finish the job although he promised many times.  He avoided court summons for small claims court. He told the BBB that he had removed the complaint but that was not truthful.  During the work he did complete he was usually late or a no show with no phone calls. He also did not complete drywall repair after replacing an outdoor faucet although he promised many times.With his business being based on referrals I don't understand how he can take money under false pretenses and be so unreliable.Don't ever trust him.  I would avoid him altogether.
