Mills Fence Co

I’m president of our HOA. We hired Mills to put up a decorative fence at our entrance. Before installing the fence they sent out someone to locate utilities twice. They were made aware of our sprinkler system and supposedly knew where the system was located so it wouldn’t be damaged. It even has electronic wires so it’s easy to find with a metal detector. When they came to install the fence, the first problem was they were installing the fence posts too close together. No measuring, just digging holes 5’ apart that needed to be 7’. So I asked them to stop and do it correctly which they were not happy about but they did. The big problem was they broke through the water lines for the sprinkler system (that they came out twice to locate). Unfortunately We did not have anyone supervising the installers and they figured out where the system shutoff was and turned it off. Then they took a plastic soda bottle and wrapped it around the broken pipe I suppose in hope we wouldn’t find their carelessness and deception. Later, When the sprinkler was turned on it spewed water all over and pushed dirt out of the hole. Mills was contacted and refused to do anything. We had to have a sprinkler company come out twice to fix the leaks. We asked Mills to deduct that cost from our bill but they would not. I can show pictures of this damage and attempted deception. This company is deceptive, arrogant and has no quality control. Do not use this company.

Lead time was reasonable considering material was special order. Communicated well and repaired on schedule. Looks like new.

We called them up to ask about pricing. They said they were able to come to our house and give us a free estimate. They came at a time that was good for me not them. The lady I spoke with in the office was very nice and polite. After they came and gave us our estimate they left it up to us whether or not we wanted to hire them. After my husband and I talked it over we called them to schedule an appointment. We were in now hurry but they scheduled the appt. within 2 wks of the phone call.
The men showed up on time and did the work that we were quoted. They cleaned up any mess they made and were nice to me. They had to come over a 2 day period which was quoted to us in the estimate.
About a month or so after installation I noticed on of the boards in the fence was breaking. I took a picture of it and stopped by the office to show it to them. The lady in the office was very friendly and eager to help with the problem. She asked when it would be good for me for them to return to fix it. I asked if I needed to be there, she said no so I told her it didn't matter then. They returned to fix the board within the week  of me asking.
Overall my time with them was very pleasant and I would recommend them!
