Verizon Wireless

I would like to start by saying that I am with Verizon because of the quality of their phones and extensive coverage area. They cost a little more than the competitors, but they are worth it because I often have coverage in areas that my friends do not. I also experienced excellent customer service at several other locations in the past. However, the customer service at this particular location is severely lacking. My phone is broken. It likes to turn itself off when it is fully charged, and sometimes I cannot turn it back on. I knew that I was not eligible for a full upgrade until September, but my sister encouraged me to ask someone now because I may be eligible for a discounted upgrade. I was really hesitant to go into store because in the past I had found the staff to be incredibly pushy. However, it was on my way home from work; so I stopped in. There were two sales representatives in the store. One was finishing up a customer and the other one greeted me. I told him that my phone was acting up, and I was thinking about an upgrade but did not think I was eligible until September. He did not even bother to ask me what was wrong with my current phone or pull up my account to see if I was correct or would be eligible for a discounted price now (which I am according to their website). I then told him that I never had a smart phone but was thinking about getting one. He asked what type I was thinking about, and I told him that I wanted an iPhone. He immediately started showing me their Androids. I told him repeatedly that I was not interested in the Androids. He finally got huffy and tossed a couple of iPhones towards me. He told me that it was not worth my time to look at phones now because they would change by September and that there was no point in quoting me on prices because the plans would change next week. He had zero knowledge of the new services that he would be selling. He made it painfully clear that I was wasting his time. He kept rolling his eyes and mouthing things to his co-worker when I was trying to look at the iPhone. If I was not going to buy a phone that day (which I may have done out of necessity), then he was not going to help me. Oh, and if I did not buy the phone he wanted me to, then I could count on very little assistance. I ended up leaving without a fully functioning phone and with no new information. It was a complete waste of my time. In the future, I will continue to use Verizon Wireless, but I will never step foot in that location again.
