Country Construction

Last winter we had a new patio laid, and this spring we contacted James Nolt, owner of Country Construction to build us a pergola over the top for shade. We contacted him by phone on first of the week. He came out to our home within 2 days, and discussed our needs and wants. He came back with an estimate the next day, and was able to start the following Monday. It was a three day job. On the first day he put 8 posts in the ground, in concrete a foot deep. Next 2 days they constructed the pergola. He searched for boards 20'+ long, (as patio is 19' x 19') so he would not have to piece boards together. He did not come in with a set design, but let us choose how we wanted it to look. Then he gave us ideas, and we even played around with the boards a little, to get the right amount of shade. However, if he did not believe something would work, he would not do the job. He was very concerned that his work would stand the test of time, which we appreciated. His work crew were very punctual, clean, and good workers. The price includes construction as well as painting of pergola. The whole job from phone call to finished product was less than 2 weeks. The pergola was not painted for approx. 2 months after pergola was put up, to allow the wood to dry. We received James ' name thru an Amish construction business out of McAfee, KY. They highly recommended him. We can totally agree. Excellent job. Good communication. James also specializes in metal roofing.
