Perkins Metal Buildings LLC

We hired Bobby Perkins/Perkins Metal Building to construct a detached garage on our property. Signed a contract back in August and to this date of e-mail all I have is wood constructed in back yard. I have paid Mr Perkins $ 19,900.00 from three draws that was stated in the provided contract. I have roughly $4800.00 worth of untreated wood and trusses erected in the ground (Picture enclosed) After Mr. Perkins cashed the third draw ($7000.00) I have not been able to contact him by multiple phone calls or e-mails. He has made no attempt to return any correspondence by us. Prior to signing the contract, I made it crystal clear to him that I needed the project completed by the winter season, reason being that the garage was being built to house my Son's Automobile that was killed last August by a drunk driver. And he assured me at that time that the timing would not be a problem. And currently my son's car is still sitting in the weather on the driveway awaiting the completion of the garage… Found out over the weekend that  there is another costumer of his that also has a garage sitting in the same unfinished state. Same sonar: Made three payments and project sits as untreated framing. I will be getting his information this week, so if that will help in having there info, I will be sure to forward their information to your office if you would like. Biggest concern is obviously that I am out the money, second is I have had un treated lumber sitting in weather for over 4 months. For the last 6 weeks I have sent Mr Perkins multiple e-mails and phone calls with no reply. Mr Perkins has all of my money that I have allocated for the project, So unless I retrieve my money from him, Financially I am unable to finish the garage... I could really use your help, Spoke to lawyers, and Mr. Perkins has not responded to our BBB complaint ( https://bluegrass.app.bbb.org/complaint/view/90059927/c/94at34 ) The permit was filed in Boone County, I was instructed in how to file for the permit by Mr Perkins. Spoke to Boone county last week and with the way it was filed out, I am the one liable and Mr Perkins is scott free for any other complications that could come in the future. ae. complaints from nieghbors or any structural damage due to weather..
