I've actually held off submitting a review for a couple years to see how well our fence held up first.
Penrod came highly recommended to me.  However, I'll never do business with them again.
My yard is average size for a suburban home in the East end of Louisville.  Nothing big or outrageous.
When I went in to get an estimate, it was obvious the guy was not in the best mood.  He quoted me a premium price, which I knew was high.  However, since the quote was still within my budget, I let it slide thinking this would give me a chance to see what kind of service a premium price gets me with this company.  I was all ready to tell everyone if it went as well as I hoped.
Boy was I disappointed.  First of all it took about 3-4 WEEKS before we even got the posts set.  Another MONTH later, we got the fence completed.  My neighbors just had a fence installed by another company.  They had it completed in 2 DAYS.
Additionally, I asked the guy who priced the order to include 10 extra pickets I could use to replace any that get aged/worn as my fence ages.  I didn't get these.
On the upside, we've taken good care of the fence, and other than the fact that the boards come off easily if pulled, and I had to fix one of my gates as it wasn't screwed in correctly on the hinge side, the fence seems to be holding up.
The real problem here was with bad service and attitude.

These guys do great work. The were quick to provide us with a quote to repair and paint our fence, and they gave us a very reasonable estimate. After getting other bids and talking to other nearby farmers, we decided to go with Penrod. They did an excellent job in both replacing and painting our fence. What impressed me most was that they did not have any and quot;add onand quot; expenses. They only replaced the portion of our old fence that needed replacing. Most importantly, no one else uses the quality of paint that they use (just ask other painters if you don't believe it). I will definitely use them again.

It took them about a week to do the job. They started on Left side of the property. Replace the post and replace the fencing before they started hanging the wire. The wire was very tight and straight. They continue to the front and then went to right side. All the post had to be pull and replace in the back since we moved the fencing 20 ft further back. They drove and concrete the gate posts and corner posts at our request. The corner was brace and notch. very please with this man work. Would differently request this team again.t

They seemed to do the job they were supposed to do. The price was reasonable. I was happy with them.

It was an excellent experience. The fence was installed about a month ago and it was painted just last week.

The company divided the job into too many weeks, partly because missing (first), damaged (later) or wrongly attached gate. Problems with getting the crew back, numerous phone calls getting nowhere.

They came out, gave us a quote and started work about 10 days later, after all the materials were delivered. Three guys and two tractors got it all done in three days. They worked with us to lay out the fence exactly where we wanted it to go spending lots of time to get a nice flow and avoid obstacles. Once they started installing they banged it out quickly in spite of one of the tractors breaking down. They came back about 2 months later after the wood had time to season and painted it. We did have some overspray issues, the painter was not very careful! Overall, all the neighbors mention how great the fence looks and we are very happy

They were by far the best bid I received for the same work. It took a little time to get the materials in, but they were prompt in installation once the materials were in. The posts were dug and set in concrete the first day and the fence was totally installed a couple days later, due to rain. Right after installation a tree fell on our fence and we got scratches on the black vinyl. We contacted the sales rep and he sent over some black paint for touch-up at no charge. I did have to call a couple of times to follow up on both the warranty and the paint, but I did get both. Overall, I was very pleased with the fence and the price. I have had no problems from the fence.

IT WAS GREAT. WE HAD A NUMBER OF ESTIMATES AND THEY WERE FAR AND AWAY THE CHEAPEST. THE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT, AND I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW THEY COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THEY DID HERE.
