This company sent worker Scott out to disconnect and put in a new line for our dishwasher. He was great! Showed up when he said he would, charged me exactly the quoted amount (which is rare!) and he was so friendly! I was very pleased with his customer service skills!! Also was super friendly with our dogs!

We had various misunderstandings regarding date and time of visits and which services were complete when, but otherwise they did an awesome job. Once on site, the serviceman was friendly, competent and completed the work as promised. I have no complaints and would use again.

When all this took place I was in the midst of also dealing with my mother who was going in and out of hospital and has since deceased so I did not have too much time to follow up on this -- but this past weekend was the last straw. I had previously loved the work done by Tom Sondergeld when he did it himself, but now that others are doing the work, I am not pleased at all. When they first installed the drain and backflow preventer, the guy doing it cracked the main pipe and had to patch it, (have had a back-up since then), none of the items in the basement were covered with plastic and were therefore covered in concrete dust. Then, when they installed the drain, it was higher than the ground. When I called them about this, the guy came out and basically hammered in the cheap flimsy drain they put in attempting to make it be below grade. When they asked me how it was after that, I was in the process of getting my mom back and forth to doctors and hospitals and working full time and just said and quot;fineand quot;. Did not have the energy to deal with it at the time. Now that my mom has passed away and I have had time to get back to working on the house, I have found other problems - the kitchen sink they installed (not a cheap one) was installed in a rotted out counter. Had they told me this at the time, I would have had someone fix it. As it is, I had to get a friend to help me install braces underneath to solidify the counter to prevent putting stress on the sink. (I will eventually be able to afford a new counter - but not yet) The drain is still above grade, and so is the sump pump. I had had another sump pump installed prior to learning of the program offered by MSD (they paid for the service) and it is flush with the ground, the guys that put it in left my basement clean, not with a bunch of rocks laying around, and covered everything with plastic prior to drilling (not so with Sondergeld) The last straw to all this occurred this past weekend. I have a dehumidifier draining into it and while I was working out in the yard, I heard it empty water outside - I looked over and noticed they did not even put an elbow on the drain pipe (like the other guys did from the waterproofing company) THE WATER IS DRAINING STRAIGHT DOWN RIGHT BESIDE THE FOUNDATION - so the water can go back into the foundation. I will NEVER use Tom Sondergeld Plumbing again - which is sad, because Tom was always a very conscientious and skilled plumber but he does not have workers with his same work ethic (or perhaps his has changed also)

Overall I reccomend. I did use my home owneres warranty that cost me $460 but I only paid $60 to Sondergeld out of pocket which made me a happy Camper!

The bathroom in the basement of the house we recently purchased had not been used in several years so the sink and shower were not functioning. Also, when the flooring was replaced the day before Tom Sondergeld plumbing was scheduled to fix these issues we discovered that the toilet was rusted through as well. I called them and requested they replace the toilet, and it was not a problem. We were thrilled with the service. The gentleman that came explained everything and made sure that we were happy with the work before he left. He did a fantastic job. He installed a sink we bought from IKEA, and the toilet and shower hardware were supplied by Tom Sondergeld plumbing. We are very happy with their work, and the pricing was fair for the quality of the work.

They are relatively inexpensive and on time. They are good.

I had my home for sale when water heater went out -- Tom Sondergeld plumbing showed up immediately and replaced the old water heater with a new one. I also had to use them when moving and son did not know how to unhook ice maker and messed up pipe under sink - Tom sent one of his men out within a couple hours. In my new home, I have used him once already -- and plan to call him again shortly due to remodeling of home. They are always very prompt and perform the service at a reasonable cost. I recommend them to all my friends.
