I own three homes, left Graybeal for a different company, bought two new furnaces to replace the ones I bought from Graybeal have not had a problem with the new furnaces or the company I bought them from.

They were ok, pretty punctual, but when it came time to replace our system, the price felt high and I felt like the salesman was trying to upsale me. We called around and found another company that we have used since then. I just like the other company better.

The tech arrived on time and performed the service check. He was professional and quick without taking shortcuts. He even found the batteries in the thermostat were weak and replaced them.

All in all a good experience. Very responsive, timely, and courteous. Had one follow up service requirement which was addressed promptly under warranty.

Our furnace stopped working on New Year's Eve and we called Greybeal that morning. The first question they asked us is if we had an alternative heat source as they wanted to be sure we could stay warm. Luckily we had a wood burning stove. Paul, from Greybeal arrived on January 2nd and did a thorough examination of the system. Our system was quite old so we knew a replacement was needed. Paul explained to us the cost and benefit of a number of replacement options. We made the decision to purchase and have the most efficient system installed, thus the price was higher. The old system was uninstalled and removed and the new system was installed over the course of 2 days (January 3 and 4). The installers were fantastic. They were efficient, careful with the equipment, and the work areas were clean and well kept. Our furnace is in a crawl space and these men were great. The installation went smoothly and the compressor and furnace are working. We would recommend Greybeal to anyone who has heating or cooling needs.

From the time the salesman left it was 24 hours later the new unit was installed and running. Very professional, well dressed, polite and clean. I would recommend this company to anyone. You will be pleased with the entire staff and prompt service.

We recently purchased a quadplex apartment building and during property inspection discovered all 4 of the HVAC systems were badly damaged and needed to be replaced. We entertained bids from a number of different providers and were most impressed that Mike at Greybeal was the only vendor which provided a reasonably detained quote which included manufacturer's names and actual model numbers. We advised each of the bidders this would be a requirement in our selection process and I was personally amazed the other vendors seemed to consider this such an unusual request! We eventually got the information from two other potential companies, after considerable effort, and it turned out that what they were offering was not necessarily all that good a deal to begin with.
It is not that everything went perfectly, Mike discovered that because of the existing system layout and space avaiable he had to use a different air handler than originally specified. He called me well in advance of the installation, letting me know about the problem, and reviewed the manufacturer's technical documents with me to show what the options were.
As noted, Greybeal was not the least expensive vendor (actually they weren't the most expensive either), but they listened when we told them what we were looking for and they responded accordingly. All in all, I believe Greybeal unquestionably delivered the best value. They did not ask me to give them a deposit and didn't need my money to buy the equipment, which is what one of the bidders needed. This was relevant in my decision. All in all, the financial aspect of the transaction was satisfactory.
Because they were very busy, Greybeal couldn't schedule the installations as quickly as we wanted, but was able to adjust their schedule sufficiently to get the work done in a reasonable time frame. Part of my sense of urgency was that the cooling element on one of the systems actually stopped working during an unseasonably early hot spell. I wanted to get the problem resolved as soon as possible and I felt the temporary window unit my maintenance contractor loaned the tenant was not as safe as it could be. As part of our agreement, Mike went to the building on his own time to see if he could get the inoperative system started. He couldn't, but his effort was greatly appreciated.
The installation went pretty much as planned. My tenants were all complementary of the manner in which Greybeal's staff accessed their living spaces. Our rental management company was equallly complementary saying how professional Greybeal was in working with them and noted they would add Greybeal to their own list of vendors.
I stopped by the job site during the install and Mike took quite a bit of time out of his day to walk me through the installations, which I found to be of high quality and obvious good workmanship.
All in all, I would recommend Greybeal Air Systems to anyone looking for a professional, proficient HVAC supplier.

The technician arrived on time and provided a checklist of the items he examined. He answered my questions thoroughly and gave tips for keeping our warm living room cooler. He was friendly and polite. The person who scheduled my appointment on the phone was also outgoing and polite.
