Larry Burke did the assessment and provided the quote. He instilled confidence in his assessment and expected resolution. He was thorough and timely. He scheduled the week of installation and we worked well together to coordinate having his team on site as planned. Larry was very upbeat and positive to work with. Duane and son Dallas were a phenomenal team! They quickly determined the best strategy and determined a very effective and less intrusive means of installing dimmable can lights in the raised Den ceiling. They were thorough and yet quick, protected the house during installation, and did a great job. Duane gave insight and advice regarding all aspects of the job and operation. The lights worked great and made a dark room bright and fun to be in. They installed the 4 outlet plug in parallel while working on the can lights and finished both at the same time. They also solved a mysterious "flickering" dining ight issue quickly and easily at no charge. This was the best electrical repair and installation team ever - Larry, Duane and Dallas. I plan to do some remodel in the kitchen in the future and Larry and his company is at the top of the list, and I hope Duane and Dallas are there as well. Extremely satisfied.

It was determined that there was no problem as related by the furnace technician. The electrician really went beyond when he contacted the furnace company and relayed critical information to them. The electrician remained in contact with me until the furnace problem was corrected even though no electrical problem was found. I am still waiting for an invoice.

I am so impressed by Providence's responsiveness and professionalism. I requested an estimate via the website form, and Larry Burke responded within 24 hours to set up a time and give me a rough ballpark cost. He also checked in before the visit to make sure we would be there on the day of the visit. We had to reschedule and he was flexible about it. The technician came on time, diagnosed what was needed, and completed everything quickly. It was a small repair, but I felt as though Providence treated it as a big one. Their website says, "No job is too small for us and warrants the same attention as larger jobs," and that was definitely true. I'm very happy with my first experience with Providence and will definitely call them for future electrical work.

came to house promptly to give an estimate which we took.. A couple of weeks to get on the schedule but when scheduled, they arrived on time and did a good job. Plan was to run electric to the outlet from the fan and cover the wire with conduit but they found the porch roof had no insulation and were able to run the wires in the roof and make the job a lot cleaner. very satisfied

Apart from an initial miscommunication between us about timing (a no-fault situation), the work was scheduled and done at a convenient time. It took a couple days to get the closet lights and switches (which had to be wired from below the floor as the switch box is in the basement) and the outlets completed. The work went well and we're happy with the new lights and outlets. The generator wiring installation was discussed a good deal with Tom (the Providence electrician we worked with) who offered good ideas and sound advice on which circuits to include since we couldn't put the whole house on the generator. The work was completed in a timely manner and done neatly. Then Tom worked with me to secure the proper hook-ups for the generator, helped me test the generator, hooked everything up to the new exterior outlet, and showed me how to switch from house current to generator current and back. Practiced the procedure with Tom's guidance and everything worked as expected. Larry Burke, the owner, was always available to talk on the phone to help, and Tom, the electrician doing the work, was knowledgable, personable, and patient, and made sure everything was right and I was satisfied before signing off.

It went great! I was charged exactly what they said they'd charge, they showed up on time, and left the work area clean after completing the job. After finishing the install, the electrician checked the switch controlling the light, noticed that it needed to be replaced, and took care of that as well. I was really impressed that they took that extra step without being asked to (and without charging extra!).

Undoubtedly, the worst experience we've ever had with any contractor. For his convenience, our contractor hired Providence to relocate our electrical panel during a renovation. The employee failed to discuss a number of key details upon changing the scope of the original work, which resulted in what can only be described as shoddy and unprofessional results. Since this was ELECTRIC work, getting it right is essential; i.e., 1.) parts were re-used that should've been replaced, including the actual box itself (they tried to flush mount it IN the wall when it was for wall mount only), 2.) horrendous looking conduit was placed on the exterior of my historic house without my consent, included boring giant holes through the brick, 3.) the length of the new circuits wasn't taken into consideration so the panel wasn't set at the correct height - so every circuit had to get spliced into new, unnecessary junction boxes (inconveniently so in the crawl space instead of the very accessible basement)... I could go on and on... The the first few nights, a breaker tripped and wire melted in the panel and the fire department had to come. The owner of the company responded the following day and tried to blame the burned wires on the breaker, which had never tripped prior. He "offered" to replace the old, wall-mounted box, which should've never been re-used, as well as change the breaker and melted wiring. At that time we also discussed the other issues, including the additional time and materials I was charged for that resulted from the employee's poor planning and lack of judgement. He offered to review our invoice and discuss with the first employee. A second employee came to replace the melted wiring. He checked breaker and confirmed that it seemed fine and expressed concern over what would've caused the problem. He was too large a man to access the junction boxes in the crawl space. A third employee came about a week later to replace the box and rewire the panel. After he left, we discovered that all the upgraded dual-function breakers we'd had previously added to our panel for our new kitchen and bathrooms were gone. The owner "played dumb" (his own words) and admitted that he'd told the employee to take them. These upgraded breakers cost around $80 each. They were replaced with $5-10 breakers. The owner couldn't/wouldn't explain under what circumstances it would be generally acceptable to remove breakers like that and replace with generic breakers - this essentially left all my new appliances completely unprotected, as well as every new outlet we'd added to our home. The owner said he'd get someone over immediately to replace the breakers that had been taken but instead emailed me a copy of the unrevised invoice and asked me for payment. When I called him and asked him to come complete the work to a satisfactory level, he balked that since we were unlikely to refer his company, he would waive the invoice and I could get my own electrician to come finish the work. Honestly, as unprofessional and shocking as that was, we were relieved that we wouldn't have anyone from this company back in our home. Our own electrician inspected all the work and found that, amongst other things, most of the ground wires hadn't been tightened in either the junction boxes or the panel. We've had to have much of their work re-done by our own electrician due to their poor work. The icing on the cake was that the atrocious conduit they put on the outside of my beautiful old home wasn't even necessary. I regret that we didn't insist on using our own electrician from the beginning.

"I meet with general contractor on site, to look at project. Customer, not there. Gave quote, accepted. Customer, got mad at all contractors on site, during construction. Walked off job, when she started angrily ripping my employees. RECEIVED NO MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PRICE SHOULD SAY 00.00 She obviously wanted her project, to cost as little as possible. (she succeeded) IN MY 40 YEARS IN CONSTRUCTION, TOP 5, WORST. I was a gentlemen, calmly told her, find someone else to complete project."
