The technician checked the dishwasher and determined that the entire motor needed to be replaced.  He was at the house for ten minutes this first trip.  He ordered the new motor and, then, called to schedule an installation date.  He had to reschedule this trip one time, but still came within the timeframe that he had originally estimated.  Installation was fast and went smoothly, and I have had no problems since.  I would note that the technician asked for towels, and still left water on the kitchen floor.  He also left the original motor for me to dispose of.  I was concerned that, since the work was under warranty, he left no paperwork for me and I have no idea what his charge was for the work!

Installed new cover for crisper.  Also helped with changing filter and fitting vent cover which was not included in the service call.  Extras were done at no additional expense.  Very nice and professional.

I spent about $400 on the job. Much of the cost was towards the parts. I found them through the brand’s customer service. I would use them again in the future.

This is the second time I have used Dad's. This time it was the refrigerator.  After months of unusual noises, it stopped cooling. The initial service call was very reasonable at $60. Bryan was on time and actually took the time to test components, including calling the manufacturer to verify testing to insure the compressor was still OK.  The last thing I wanted was to pay $300 for a repair only to replace the compressor too.  This was critical in the decision to repair or replace.  The unit was 5 years old, and I am glad I decided to have it repaired.  Another review mentioned that Dad's marks up the price of parts.  I found the parts prices in line with what I could purchase on line for a new replacement part.  Considering the time he spent, the overall cost was very reasonable.

Bryan from Dad's answered the phone and arranged the service call very efficiently. Although I needed to call back and change the time, this was not a problem. Bryan (the technician) called ahead of his arrival and came at the beginning of his 2 hour window. While the service required he disassemble the cooktop, he was knowledgable and careful. After previously trying to arrange service and wasting an afternoon waiting for a technician that never showed up from a major service company (A&E), it was a pleasure to work with a small repair company that takes pride in their work. Since this repair was covered by the manufacturer, it did not cost me anything, but the piece of mind that the job was done properly and with minimal inconvenience makes this a truely positive experience.
