Rojos Pool Service will not return to perform any work for our pool
"FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CALL! I love that consumers have the opportunity to review companies online. It enables business owners to fine tune their product and customer service. With that said, I implore ones reading reports to keep in mind that just as they don’t know the company that they are investigating, neither do they know the person writing the review. There are so many half truths and untruths here that it would be take to long to cover them all. I will name only a few and then encourage you to call if you would like to make an informed decision. 1) Member states that all work was adequate or less than adequate. Reply: After every aspect of the job the member was asked how everything looked. His reply was great and we were paid on every job that was done. 2) Member states that the wrong cell chamber was used on his pool and unsure if the copper and titanium plates were even in the chamber. Note: (Chamber is clear so it is easy to see if the plates need to be cleaned). Cost to replace would be between $799-$1000. Reply: Member was given the option to replace cell and chamber for $799 but thought it was too expensive and chose not to do it. We gave him the option of a used chamber & he opted to do it. The size of the chamber would easily work with the size of the pool and bather load. A problem would occur if chemistry was not kept in balance. This was the case when member gave me the results of his water test. I expressed how important the ph and calcium are to the EcoSmarte system and told him how to adjust. Asked member if he wanted us to come and check the pool but he didn’t want us to. By the way, the chamber was “FREE”. SInce no expense was incurred the member could still opt for the new replacement but he never called for that option. 3) Member states that we were bothered by questions. Reply: We did roughly 4 jobs for member from Sept,2011-Oct,2011 then from Feb,2012-Apr,2012. During this time over 50 questions were asked via email, phone, and text and every question was answered expeditiously and thoroughly. 4) Member states that the filter started leaking after it was installed on the new pad in 2012. Reply: In Sept,2011 member was made aware of tiny drip on the multiport valve and given the option to replace. Member chose not to replace. After the filter was moved in 2012 the leak was obviously still there. The leak amounted to roughly 1 gallon a day and since member didn’t want to replace multiport valve the recommendation was to wait until it got worse and then replace. These are just a few points. Again I appreciate reviews as they allow us to improve as a company. There is nothing we can do to correct a perceived problem if not given a chance. This report was posted 4 months after the work was completed."
"Thank you for your comments. We always strive to improve our customer service and promise that we will integrate steps to to do so. Job timeline:June 6th - Approved to add to schedule for plaster, gave deposit. Told Eric(house manager) and the member our subcontractor wanted to meet with him to discuss the details of the job and he would contact him when he was available to schedule a time to meet. Told him approximately 4 weeks but stressed this work was weather dependent and rain could push the job back. June 15th - Received call from the member saying no one has called him. Left him a message saying contractor would contact him Monday 18th to schedule time to meet. June 21st - Left message for the member stating there would be an additional charge of $600. This was after contractor and the member and Eric met to discuss job. This was due to his workers setting the tile in a way that contractor told Eric(house manager) not to. Because of the way the tile was set, contractor would have to jackhammer underneath in order to do the plaster. Told him if this was a problem to let us know. July 7th - Received email from the member stating he has a party on July 18th and the work had to be done before then (this was the first time we were made aware of the party) - We replied stating because of the extreme temperatures (100+) the plaster would set up too quickly and could not be done in that type of heat. Called Eric(house manager) to let him know of problems with plastering in those extreme temperatures. July 9th - Contractor arrived to begin work and could not access the pool - the driveway was being redone. Was told by workers it would be finished at the end of the week. Called Eric and offered to return deposit due to not being able to meet the member's timeframe. Received call from Eric stating to continue with progress of work. July 16th-Work commenced July 22nd-Pool filling July 23rd-Touch up and grout tile(not part of job estimate) to match plaster. Again I appreciate your comments and will always strive to improve. I am glad that you, the member, were pleased with the work, as stated to contractor."
"Sorry about lack of communication. If you look at the other comments listed you'll notice that we pride ourselves on communication. The best way to contact us is by email and office line. I wish you would give us another chance but if not please try to contact companies again in case of electronic failures."
We also hired them to do our closing for the winter. They were easy to schedule with, showed up on time, and again were very helpful and friendly about describing the process so I can learn more about it.
I will use them again if I need help in the future.
