The above account is not my opinion, but all facts as to who came out and what was done. In my opinion, Eastern Air Flow is very unorganized. Everyone who came out or who I talked to on the phone was uninformed. I had to repeat my self with everyone I talked to. There are 3 different phone numbers listed and I was never sure which was the right one to call.606-949-1114 is the owners number (or main office number?), 844-334 5480 is listed on the website and 859--429-2207 was listed on their work order form. It seems like no one in the company talks to one another. The heating unit should have been installed correctly in the first place. When the technicians came out to fix it they knew an inspector was scheduled to come out and they were apparently unaware of the code in Lexington since it had not been installed to code.Technicians came out 2 times to fix these minor violations and both times the technicians did not have the inspection report or materials to fix it. One of the technicians mentioned that this was wasting the company's time, but if they had been informed and installed it correctly to begin with it would not have wasted anyones time. My time was also wasted waiting for technicians who came unprepared and time on the phone trying to find someone who know what was going on. The Vice president called me at one point (as I mentioned above). I found him very impolite and unprofessional. He asked me what was wrong as I began to explain I heard him talking in the background. I stopped talking, but he didn't notice so I said I am done now and hung up. When I called him back later he put me on hold so I hung up. When I finally talked to him he told me that he was going to send someone out that day, but since I hung up on him he would send not anyone until Fri (3 days later). I feel this is very unprofessional.
Description of Work: Eastern Air Flow installed a new HVAC unit (an outside AC and a heating unit and in the attic)(June 1). A month and a half (July 11) after it was installed it stopped cooling. The plenam when installed (on the attac unit) had only been attached with tape and came loose so the unit was blowing the hot attic air. July 13, two workers came out and reattached it. That same day an inspector from the Division of Building Inspections came out inspected the installation of the 2 new units (this is required on new installations) and found 3 code violations. I was told the list of violations would be sent to the company and the company would contact me.July 27 hadn't heard anything so I called Eastern Air Flow. Denice (in their Prestonburg office), said she had not gotten the inspection form and had no idea what I was talking about. I read the inspection report to her so she could send someone to fix the violations. She said she would pass the information along and send someone out. July 28 A service tech came out, but he had no information and no idea of what he was supposed to fix. I gave him a copy of the report. He did not have the correct materials said he would send someone back. Aug 2 got a call from Allison (in their Richmond office) to see if I wanted to schedule a time for someone to come out. I asked if they would come prepared this time. She had no information as to what work was supposed to be done. Later that day I got called by the Vice President. Aug 5 This time three techs came out. They still did not know what they were there for. My husband gave them a copy of the inspection report (again). They did not have the materials they needed. This time my husband sent them to a Lowes around the corner. They went to buy materials and said they would be back in 20 minutes. They were back in an hour and a half. After 4-5 hours they did finally finish fixing the violations.
