 + -1 moreHe did an excellent job and was very reasonable. He showed up on time. He did the work quickly and he didn't inflate his quoted price. He quote me a price and I agreed to it and he did the work rather well. I was satisfied. The price included materials and labor. He is in my card file for future needs.
Description of Work: Brown Electric Service rewired and brought up to code a 4-prong electric range outlet wiring for the kitchen at our rental unit.

electrician
 + -1 moreoverall, it was very difficult and time consuming for him. he had to be in and out of the house a lot in the dead of winter and he was completely unobtrusive and had no affct on the operation of the house. as i said he replaced the wiring from the utility pole, from wich we were disconnected for 7 hours, he replaced the fuse boxes, piping that the outdoor wires run thru on the way to the basement. and then began removing all original wiring and replacing with new, grounded wiring and receptacles, and new wall switches in every room (20 rooms)
Description of Work: he rewired our 6500 sq ft house from the utility pole to each outlet, replacing the wiring in the walls, attic and subflooring. he replaced an outdated 300 amp service with 2- 200amp servces. this took several months and was difficult because the original wiring design was an antique and Charlie (Brown) had to find and 'antique' electrician to break the code for him. we knew it would be a formidable job, he finished the job and in a timely manner and everything works very well. no complaints several months later we had him do the electrical installation on a whole house natural gas powered electric generator, and again because of the house construction we knew it would not be easy. he got it done. he has no problem reading schematics and solving complex electrical problems. a few months ago he came out and made a few additions/modifications to the extant system.
