Plaza Tire Service - Lone Oak

I had a bearing go bad on the front of my 08 MB. I was close to this shop when it happened and so I pulled in to have them look at it. I have a very good aftermarket warranty and they agreed to repair it and work with my warranty company. I left the car and that afternoon they call me stating it was ready. When I picked up the car they stated there was no dust cover on the hub and that they had never seen one without it but the other side did not have one either so it must be normal so they did not try to find any to put on. I found out later it was removed by the previous owner and that is why the bearing went bad in the first place.
    When I paid the deductible and left the lot. When I pulled away the ABS light came on and the Speedometer did not work so I pulled over and called them. They stated that it must be the hub seal as it has magnets to work with the speed sensor. They were not able to get one and had reused the old one. They also said that it might be the sensor because they had to use a cutting tourch to cut the old bearing off the spindle. I took it to another mechanic who looked at the work and Plaza Tire had only replaced the bearing and not the galled spindle or any other parts that were bad when the bearing went down. I immediately called the warranty company and stopped the payment. They agreed the work was not done correctly or professionally and allowed me to take it to the dealer. The dealer replaced the hub which came with the bearing and seal already installed. They replaced the spindle which was ruined and the sensor that plaza tire ruined with the torch.  The previous owner had put aftermarket wheels on and they dust covers needed modifying to get the wheels on. The dealer modified the dust covers so the wheels would go on and the bearings would not go bad. 
Had the ABS light and speedometer not had errors, I could have driven that car with my family in it when the bearing went bad again. I could have lost a wheel and wrecked the car! Plaza Tire did not seem interested in fixing it correctly, just getting it driving again so they could collect the money.
